Probably as many as USA is.
UTSA game
4 turnovers -- UTSA scored on all 4 turnovers.
11 penalties for 114 yards
Nicholls State game
2 turnovers
8 penalties for 85 yards
So far tonight against NC State we have 2 turnovers (NC State scored on both) and we have at least 6 penalties with 3 being personal fouls.

This has been a tale of two very different halves. I hope we can keep it up.

RE: Troy
Here's some of my thoughts.
572 Yards, 349 passing, 223 on the ground. Very balanced attack. We're high in the top 25 in total offense. We had 4 TO's. They had 0. That's what it comes to. 572 yards and 24 points. Could have been more without the TO's.
We had 588 yards last week vs UL, but only 24 points. We had 3 TO's, they had 0. This Troy offense is GOOD, we just have to stop turning the ball over. Once this offense begins to gel (it's not back to the old just yet) and keep the ball to themselves, teams will have to outscore Troy.
We had 2 TO's vs UAB in game one, but they had 4 TO's. With a +2 TO margin, we had 453 yards and 39 points. If this Troy team can get on the winning side of the TO battle, we could be good. Up next is North Texas!
Yardage Breakdown (last three games):
Troy 453 | UAB 459 (Troy had Two TO's, UAB had Four TO's)
Troy 588 | UL 389 (Troy had Three TO's, UL had Zero TO's)
Troy 572 | MSU 457 (Troy had Four TO's , MSU had Zero TO's)

Hopefully at least a few more times next Saturday. Can't wait. It should be a good one.

Im disappointed but not mad....Hell we only lost 30-24 with FOUR turnovers!!!!!! Take away the Turnovers we would have won that game easily!!!!!
PROUD of the effort those trojans put in....We play like that the rest of the year we can win this conference. They threw the ball MUCH more this week.

I was very happy with the balance this week. We had 349 through the air and 223 on the ground. Those aren't numbers to sneeze at. 572 total yards.
I had the best time I've ever had during a loss. Great game. Troy has some potential, we'll see what happens with that.

RE: Troy
Okay, so am I the only one here who noticed the 2:30 to 3:00 minutes that was simply wasted during our last offensive drive which ended with the 40 yard field goal? We started the drive in the hurry up and we were dominating them. Then something stopped play for a minute. I think it was a review.
Anyway, after that we slowed the **** down and let every damn second tick off the clock even though we only had one damn timeout left! You kick it to a team like MSU with their good RBs with only 4:07 left and one timeout and guess the hell what? You're probably going to lose that game more often than not. Especially with our defense!
I mean, this all seems pretty damn blatant to me and I'm wondering why our coaching is not getting blamed for this.
We could have won this game despite our turnovers. Our safetys ALWAYS getting caught out of position doesn't help.
Regardless of what happened, if we play the rest of the season like we did in the second half we can beat anyone on our schedule. I just really doubt that is going to happen.
Our offense is very good. Too many drops though. Way too many drops...

I know the record doesnt indicate it (due to turnovers), but I am comfortable saying we are back.

If we play as well as we did yesterday without turnovers we will have a winning record easily.

The jury's still out, at this point. As much as I'd like to ignore the turnover issue, it's real. The effort is there, but the respect for the ball is not. Troy is definitely not short on talent, but until they all get on the same page, we'll be hobbling from all the bullet holes in our collective boot.

I don't think you can claim that as fact.
Through the first three games last season we were 1-2 (1-0). Having played two more difficult opponents than this year we averaged more points per game and had the same record with a better conference record.
You need slow your roll and realize Week 3 just ended and there is quite a bit of season left. I've seen nothing on defense this season that would lead me to believe that our mistake ridden offense could outscore anyone if our defense constantly gives up 30+ points. Just like, by they way, they did last year through the first three.
