GameDay Purdue
Okay all of the optimists (okay, I am the ONE in that camp), the 'Debbie Downers 'n Dockers' (probably a lot), etc. today is Purdue day.

We are an approximate 24 point underdog.

What will you be looking for?

Will Purdue come out flat after the ND game?

Better OL play from Anderson's kids? Better DL play? Better DB play? (BTW, I do remember Cotton making a lot of tackles in the ISU game).

Will we pass or run more?

How will Gillett handle the stout Purdue DL?

Will this game be a repeat of the Northwestern game a few years ago which was almost an upset? (be nice, I'm drinking Boost and coffee, decaf, this morning. Nothing mind altering like vodka. This team has much more talent than the team which almost beat Northwestern.).

RE: GameDay Purdue
No killer mistakes. No turnovers. No 2nd and 9 after a 1 yd run on 1st down.

I want to see the play calling improve. The players can play their best game ever, but if PU knows what's coming then EMU will not present a challenge.

Is Pollard playing?

RE: GameDay Purdue
Dear steve,
I wish I could be optimistic, but not after watching the first two games. I would love to see Eastern pass more, but that will only happen If English and Karcher have been reading the posts here.
I went to the last game at Purdue. Eastern got the ball first, and was marching right down the field, and then our quarterback fumbled the ball, it was picked up by a Purdue player and he ran it back for a touchdown, it was downhill from that point on.

RE: GameDay Purdue
I have a feeling that this game will be a replay of the Northwestern game of 2009.

EMU plays over their head.

Purdue sleep walks the game. Flat from the Notre Dame game.

Take the points any posters in Vegas this morning.

Purdue has had issues with MAC teams under Hope, but those were good teams. EMU is not. They are arguably the worst team in FBS.

I see a 49-3 type game.

Got your blue dockers on?

Surely you must know that UMass is a much, much worse team than EMU. 04-chairshot

Why is UofM playing UMass, anyway????

BTNs game comments on the Purdue vs EMU game: "Purdue looks to come back after last weeks loss" that was it.

Both schools were blown out by mediocre teams. UMASS by two BCS schools and EMU by MAC and FBS schools. There is no difference between the two schools.

Eastern will come out playing tough football today. I expect some fight out of the boys.

Running the ball, shortening the game. Whoever said we need to throw the ball more and lengthen the game needs to have their head examined.

Nice grab by Donald Scott. He seems to grab the hard ones and drop the easy ones.

Sherrer getting some nice runs off the right side. Bobby McFadden and Campbell Allison look like an improvement.
