"Roadrunners, American Cancer Society announce UTSA Tackles Cancer Game"

"SAN ANTONIO — UTSA and the American Cancer Society announced Thursday that the Roadrunners’ football game against McNeese State on Saturday, Nov. 10, at the Alamodome will be the inaugural UTSA Tackles Cancer Game.

UTSA will tackle cancer with a goal of $50,000 to help support the local programs and services of the American Cancer Society.

Bexar County Precinct 3 Commissioner Kevin Wolff, UTSA Head Coach Larry Coker, UTSA Athletics Director Lynn Hickey and American Cancer Society 2012 Cattle Baron’s Gala Chair Matthew Stedman made the announcement to the media and public on Thursday afternoon at the American Cancer Society Office.

The UTSA Tackles Cancer Game will kick off at 4 p.m. and tickets must be purchased by Nov. 1 by visiting UTSATacklesCancer.org or by calling the American Cancer Society at (210) 595-0249.

Field level seats for this offer are $16 and upper level seats are $10, with half of the purchase donated to the American Cancer Society."

EDIT: In addition to this game having this new designation, note that the game is still designated as Military Appreciation Day as well, according to the schedule on goutsa.com: http://www.goutsa.com/SportSelect.dbml?&...SID=601025
