ODU has defeated Duquesne 57-23 and Hampton 45-7 thusfar this year.

Bad news concerning Braden. His leadership on the field will be missed; he is a fine young man and has a very bright future ahead of him in coaching or whatever he chooses.

As far as this week's game; I know that CU will give all they've got, but we are overmatched this week against a quality opponent. Let's protect Dakota and live to fight in the PFL.

It is official Braden Smith is out for this game per this weeks game notes. They did not elaborate on the injury or how long he might be out. I hope we can keep in close and avoid anymore injuries. Hope Braden Smith is doing okay and gets well soon.

I can confirm from a person that works in Athletics that Braden is out for the season.

Can they redshirt Smith for eligibility next year?

What about the other injuries? Odom?

When I asked the person "Isn't this his last year of eligibility?" it was responded with "yes"

I didn't get updates on the other injury but did have a lot of great things to say about Dakota Wolf

It is great to have a good quarterback but you have to get some guys up front that can protect him. Without them he is just a target.

He had a great offensive line last year. This year there is no offensive line. There are five guys who don't even get in the way sometimes.

I would not want to be a QB going into the game this week against ODU with the offensive line we have. Hope I am wrong but I don't have a lot of confidence in what I have seen out of our O-Line so far.

Outcome was about what I expected. I am surprised we scored 14 points.

I agree with Camelfan (I don't know if I have said that before!) but the ODU game was never a game, even before kickoff.

Now personally I think its crazy to ask Campbell U. to compete at the level of any ranked opponent. If you can schedule a Charleston Southern like JU, then play that game, but just like many don't agree with playing team's like Apprentice because "it doesn't make you better", I don't think playing ODU this past week served any purpose. Well...other than embarrassment of the kids.

Hopefully this is the last game in the series. Like I read on an ODU message board this game was one game to many in this series. Hopefully we can schedule some games with some Big South or nearby SoCon schools.
