RE: UCONN-NCST
Our D has held NCST to 43 yards rushing, 205 total yards, have 6 sacks and have forced 9 punts.
About time our offense rewarded them with a TD. I don't think a D can play much better than what UCONN has done so far.

Offense is just offensive for the most game. Our new QB takes too many chances that resulted in 3 INTs. Our D is for real. Sorry BE, we could not pull this one out.

Just can't win against a quality opponent without a passing game.

RE: UCONN-NCST
Great effort by the defense. IMO, our special teams play let us down. Kick and punt returns were horrible today. I expected our offense to be awful and it is.
I had this game marked down as a close loss. If the offense improves at all, UConn should be a bowl team. We won't win more than 6-7 though.

RE: UCONN-NCST
UCONN's defense is for REAL. They are a beast, now only if they can hire an OC and O-line coach. The offense is unbearable and play calling leaves alot to be desires. To put it nicely. NC State didn't win this game, UCONN lost it with awful play calling and even worse procedure penalties.

I had to work, so I didn't even see the game. But my brother was at the game. He said UConn receivers were open all day long. If our QB had time, this is all on him. If he didn't have time, it's all on the offensive line.
NC State 10, UConn 7. Turnovers: UConn 4, NC State 1.

RE: UCONN-NCST
NCSU, surprisingly enough, made no effort to shut down our running game and short passing game. The fact that McCombs was held to 60 yards shows how bad our OL is at blocking.
We definitely had receivers open all game. No question about it. The pass protection was mediocre, but not nearly as bad as the run blocking an not nearly as bad as NCSU's pass blocking was. Frustrating game, but we're fine so long we beat Maryland.

Play calling was horrible. We need a new OC pure and simple. Our OL run blocking has gone to crap since he took over from Foley. The fact we could not run made our passing game that much more ineffective. NCST put a lot of pressure on our QB because they knew we were passing. As a result, our QB forced a ton of passed resulted in 3 INTs. Much of the problem was due to lack of running game. I can't blame this on our QB. Our OL was the problem. Since OC took over coaching of OL, it has gone down hill.
Our D might be the best in the BE if not one of the best in the country. We put the fear into NCST QB. The D sacked him 6 times and knocked him down countless other times. He threw into very tight coverage all day and those throws had to be perfect to get completions. Our D simply deserve better than this offensive crap. BTW, NCST has a huge offense line full of seniors. They also got a tall SR QB who will play at the next level. This was a great performance by the D. They just deserve better than the crap from our offense.
The 10 points were the fewest in an N.C. State victory since the Wolfpack beat South Carolina 10-0 in 1999. It was the fewest in a road victory since they beat Wake Forest 10-6 in 1968.
Bottom line is UCONN could have won this game easily if we could make a few more plays. With D playing like that, there is no excuse for losing this type of game.
