Fantastic work of fiction slick Willy is putting together.

He's a great liar, but not even he can convince a rational person Obama was ever bi-partisan.

Yes

If you are on the Romney campaign, you are praying that no one is watching this. This is brutal. Absolutely brutal.

If there weren't an amendment against running for more than two terms, Clinton might STILL be president.

Anxious to see how the fact checkers treat slick Willy's speech.

That might have been the best delivered convention speech I've ever seen. Clinton was just brutal if you are on the Romney campaign.

It's hard to beat 2 presidents. Romney needs to find a couple presidents but where would he do that. Hmmmmm.

I didnt say Clintons was a better written speech than anyone elses. I said it was better delivered. Condi is a great woman who has many laudable talents and ideas, but having great delivery isnt one of them. Clinton, however, does have that elite level of oratory just like Reagan.

In your dreams. Clinton just knocked one out of the park.

Clinton may have just guaranteed Obama's reelection. No way the Romney/Ryan campaign can compete with that.

RE: DNC thread..
aTx.. it's a combination of factors, you could have the best delivery in the world, but if the speech isn't great, you're not going to get a response. Just like you could have the greatest speech in the world, and bad delivery counters it.

That being said, I didnt' get to watch most of Clintons' speech (was on the road coming into work). But I'll have to take the people who listened to both to see who delivered the better speech, Condi or Clinton.. But I do know that Condi knocked hers out of the park with a great delivery and a great speech.

Don't forget that you're still dealing with a Democrat talking to rabid Democrat delegates (just like Condi spoke to rabid Republican delegates last week), so you can't just say "the crowd responded better/differently".

Quote: Clinton, however, does have that elite level of oratory just like Reagan.

This I'll disagree with slightly.. I dont' think anyone had the level of oratory that Reagan had.. Clinton's a good orator (no argument there), but he doesnt' change "who" he's talking to.. he's always talking as if he's talking directly to the middle American, no matter the crowd. He does it VERY well.. but to me Reagan could change his tone/delivery if he were talking to middle Americans or if he was talking directly to business owners or foreign dignitaries in the same speech.

Agree.

Slick Willy is a great speaker. But I don't think any speakers at either convention are going to sway any substantive number of voters either way.

It gives the talking heads something to talk about, as well as us. But at the end of the day I question if any of it, outside the candidates themselves, makes any difference.

Of course if McDonald's is hiring then they must have business which must require them to buy things and have things shipped to them and make money and pay taxes...oh **** it...YOU SUCK OBAMA!!!!!

Not as much as most other jobs.... and does it make sense to have the first lady tell people not to go there if that is where the jobs are?? And they don't pay income taxes... and payroll taxes go to their own benefit. Sure, its better than a sharp stick in the eye, but lets not act as if its anythng more than a rounding error to the math. They'll make $1500/month and collect $1200/month in Social Security. It also goes against his "middle class" mantra, and sort of puts Margaret Thatcher on Democrats woodies about 4.5mm jobs... but don't let all that get in the way.
