Yup, just starting to blow up. Some saying Shell got into a fight at the golden arches last night. Which is interesting because aren't they supposed to be locked in a hotel?

Once again, wouldn't be Pitt if we didn't step on our johnson's before the season even starts...

Speaking of Pitt players, I saw Trenton Coles at the Clairton game last night.

I was just running a few errands and was listing to the Bob Pompeani show on the FAN. He is only covering college football this morning talking about Pitt / PSU / WVU. He hasn't mentioned anything about it.

Has anyone else heard about this? Do we have an update?

Apparently 6 players, including Shell, are suspended for today's game. There's a lot of key players on this list, too: Shell, Ty Ezell, Shayne Hale, Anthony Gonzalez, Chris Davis, and Ronald Jones. This is going to make winning tonight quite a bit tougher for this team.

Also, the game has been delayed due to weather.

No names on the jerseys this year. Interesting coincidence - PSU puts theirs on, Pitt takes theirs off.

Our defense is world class bad right now or else YSU is stellar on offense.

If Pitt plays like this on Thursday and Cincinnati has a running back on the roster they're going to get dominated. YSU has absolutely torched this defense. It's got to be the worst looking defense I've ever seen.

I've been talking a lot of crap about you guys since you announced you're leaving, but it's a damn shame the River City Rivalry never had time to truly develop. The few times we played have been classics and it's just natural for our two cities to hate each other. Here's hoping for another close one Thursday night!

It's been a nice little rivalry game. Certainly one of the few "forced" rivalry games that actually developed into something with a little intensity to it. I'm not sad for Pitt to be leaving the Big East but in truth I think the conference will still be around for quite some time.

Hopefully it'll be a hard fought game on Thursday and we'll both come away without injuries.

yo.... our 3rd Down Defense is freaking pathetic.

The defense in general was pathetic. We got pushed around by a 1AA team, our LBs looked lost and our secondary didn't make plays either. Most disturbingly though is the line play on both sides of the ball - we didn't dominate them on the OL or the DL. We're a running team...we need to pound the rock and stop the run ourselves and that didn't happen. I shudder to think what will happen Thursday if the team shows up this way again.

Not to worry, Pitt can't be that bad. They sure did look slow on defense. Not many Pitt fans will see it anyway since the school returned 2,911 tickets of the 3,000 UC sent over. Yes it is a Thursday night, but South Carolina had thousands at Vanderbilt last Thursday night.
