Wrong.

sorry dude RIGHT with pictures taken at 1:23 seconds to go in 1st quarter and factoring in sections and the number of seats across of in sections and then factoring in the numbers of rows the most 20K the least 17K but with a good approximation to be EXACT 18975.

You're an idiot, there were easily 28,000 there

The photo of the student section was taken as the team took he field. That's minutes before the game. Those crowds are typical of Toolame yet they always report greatly exaggerated numbers. And they use those numbers in recruiting to fool kids into thinking they will play in front of respectable crowds when he reality is its like a cavern in the Dome during a toolame game. The point is, don't take attendance figures reported at face value.

Keep in mind, those were taken way before the game. There were many more in attendance actually as the game happened. Here's a picture from IN-GAME. There might not have been exactly 28k or however many at the TU-RU game but there was a great crowd. They do it like UAB, most of the Tulane fans sit behind the team. Listening on the highlights you can tell it sounds like 20k or so Tulane fans, probably more just sitting there.

Um, I don't know about that. I thought there were more... More than 9k, IMO. But hey, whatever, if you're paid for 26k tickets, mind as well report that.

Thats fine, report it as 26K sold. Let everyone know you have alums on the East Coast who are willing to buy tickets. But don't try to bull**** people as Toolame does and claim its 26K asses in the seats cheering the players. they couldn't even fill up city Park Stadium (Tad Ghormely), a venue normally reserved for high school games, the times they played there.

There was a really good sized crowd at UAB. I don't know if there was deffinately 28k there, but I think it is alot closer than some of their other reported numbers.

People tend to migrate to the second level because those provide better sight lines than the lower level of the dome. I'm not doubting that it was probably a better crowd than normal for Tulane being the first game of the season and the excitemetn of a new coach. But unless you are from this area or have been to toolame games to be familiar with the historical differential between their reported attendance and the actual you can't appreciate why we scoff at a reported 26K. I'm originally from New Orleans and I've witnessed this in person for years. Its a joke.

Hell in the Katrina season they played a game at Cajun Field and claimed 19K when the actual number was around 1200 at best.

But good luck with the rest of the year....we will agree to disagree cause I have no beef with how UAB or for that matter Troy counts them if they are not there they are not there.

I am always surprised about how passionately some people will fight over the dick measuring contest we call attendance...

28,000? 15,000? It does not actually matter outside of every other year you make sure that in some way you can report 15k on average whether it is buts in the seats or seats bought by Coke/Pepsi (that is how EMU does it).

Just be thankful the topic isn't the alternate dick measuring contests of television market size or academic reputation.
