My wife works with various educators in the Charlotte metro area and found out today that several private schools (primarily Jewish and Catholic) are hiring off duty police officers for extra security because of perceived threats demonstrators and invited guests at the DNC may present.

Name one of the schools please.

Why would I name them, they already believe there are security threats. No sense in getting their names dragged around as "hate groups" for fearing some of the extremist leftwing crowd might try to vandalize their school or worse.

The old saying don't crap where you eat applies here. Demonstrators aren't going to stir up trouble where the media may be covering their "cause" but away from their approved "parade" route away from the adoring media's eye is a different story.

No they are not near the DNC sight they are private schools they would naturally be located in the affulent suburbs not the center city area.

Name them.

Did they actually receive threats or just assume there will be a threat? And the Jewish school doesn't need to worry, if they threaten them, who are they gonna get to run the Fed.

And why would random schools be any type of target for a protest by anyone affiliated with the DNC. What's the possible motive?

As I asked before: If they don't just happen to be right by the convention hall what risk could there be?

Not sure what was going on this evening, but there were large concentrations of State Troopers at several on ramps way more than you would see at a speed trap.

I predict there will be violence at the DNC from these groups protesting that Obama has been a sell out, that he has been too far to the right.

On Ustream they ave a channel called OccupiedAir where some streamer shows the Occupiers begging for food already

Democratic conventions resemble the bar scene from Star Wars ... freakish fringe groups everywhere.

But 90%+ of the party faithful inside the building are good, decent Americans who just happen to live off the taxpayers.
