Damn right. I know - speaking for myself as well as other MT fans - that McNeese State loss really made me quite upset. I'm tired of mediocrity, hopefully that's the only "bad" loss of the year for the SBC. Ha...

So the story of both games tonight has been turnovers.

Pathetic effort by the NC State defense and QB. I just hope Clemson doesn't lay another egg in Atlanta tomorrow night, or my OOC weekend will be miserable. (I hate, hate, HATE it when an ACC team loses to an SEC team... now we have to hear you know what!)

NC State may be the biggest upset of my picks. TN has a recent history of being abysmal against ACC teams.

At least Boise lost. I have one pick right so far.

Why do these announcers think that BYU has no chance at BCS if they win out? Last year several teams were in with wins.

I didn't hear the particular comments, but one thing, BYU doesn't have the same guarantees that a Boise or another non-AQ has.

That's true. They're like Navy and Army. They have to be ranked in the top 2 to be guaranteed to be selected.

That is true...

Although, it is possible if the combination of teams in the top 14 is a certain way, they could be guaranteed that way.
Like say-
4 SEC teams
3 Big Ten teams
2 Big 12 teams
1 ACC team
1 Pac 12 team
1 BYU
1 Big East team
Then 1 more team from the 3 multiple team conferences. You'd have 2 teams from the 3 multiple team conferences going, and then BYU as the 4th at large. We've come very close to this type of situation happening before.

So are Houston, UCF, Boise, BYU, and Arkansas State the teams that are supposed to be good non AQ this year?

What about someone like LA Tech?

Is UCF eligible again? Didn't they petition a ban?

UCF has appealed- haven't heard any result yet.

One team that could be very interesting to watch out of the MAC- Ohio U.
