I'm shocked people are "talking to MTSU" when it comes to beating an FCS team. I expect MTSU to rebound a little bit from the couple past seasons. It'd FAU that y'all need to worry about. Wagner was just quoted for saying that they aren't coming down to Boca to lose.

ASU stays within 2 scores at half, but the Ducks depth takes control late. Aplin throws for 2 TD's and 3 INt's and at least 5 ASU fans worry that we may stink this year because we let one of the best offenses in college football score 53 on us.

Its a battle to the wire, but the Blue Devils are going bowling this year according to this crazy prognosticator. FIU's top notch defense looks weak early, but dont fret Panther fans. They will pick it up eventually. Dont sleep on a group of crazy methodists. Just ask SMU.

LSU 41 UNT 6
LSU's offense will struggle early, but their defense will make UNT look more like a Todd Dodge team then a McCarney team. Before the game at least a half dozen 5 year olds will flip off the UNT players on their way to the stadium. Note to UNT fans...avoid portable toilets.

South welcomes itself to D1 with a victory. The Mobile area is hammered with rain from Hurricane Issac, but the worst avoids them, and UTSA players find they are not used to playing on a wet field and fumble 4 times on the night. After the game, KFC gives out a free bucket of chicken to anyone who can walk in and sing the UTSA fight song without messing up. Only 10 buckets of chicken are given away.

Troy earns revenge from its last trip to Birmingham with the victory. The real drama is before the game when the entire Troy team is mugged at gun point after their bus breaks down a few blocks from Legion Field.

Lamar tries to join the WAC after the game only to find out the conference doesnt exist anymore. ULL fans celebrate the first of many potential victories this year and then run to see if ULM lost to Bye Week as they hoped.

MTSU's first game looks more like a poor remake of Borkeback Mountain then Blazing Saddles as many of their fans had hoped. Dont ever sleep on McNeese

first and foremost....austin peay is no wagner.

the peay has a very good hoops tradition dating back to lake kelly and fly williams. fly was an nyc legend that kelly corralled to clarksville. led the nation in scoring. during the fly heyday the austin peay crowd would chant 'the fly is open...lets go peay'

they caused dick vitale to stand on his head during the early espn days because he said they had no chance in the ncaa against illinois.

their football went non-scholly in the late nineties but they brought back to fcs level in the ovc. we should beat them. but we should have beat indiana state and central arkansas. it'll be our last win until we face fau. we can't run the ball and we have the worst quarterback in the history of western civilization.

fun fact: austin peay was named after a volunteer state governor. hence their nickname 'the guvnahs'

fun fact #2: located in clarksville tn which has exploded in population. mainly due to the fort campbell buildup across the state line in the commonwealth.

fun fact #3: they flat out have the best old skoo radio guy since larry munson. greg walker. apologies to bird of paradise. but i love me some greg walker. i consider him an amigo as he's given me tickets to watch the peay-murray state games in the past.

No, I just think they will beat you. This is why it is called Predications!!

If things stay as they are, the Sun Belt will go 4-5 for the first week with losses to teams from the WAC and the FCS Southland. Not a great start but hopefully it'll pick up as the season goes on.

However, Texas State is looking good against Houston.
