Memphis lands 2013 Top 25 BB recruit
Another hometown star, Nick King. High grades, high character, a big winner.
Ranked anywhere from #14 to #28, depending on which rankings you use.
Tigers now have ESPN #15 class for 2013, with more coming. Marquette at #5, Louisville at #7. ND at #14. nBE looking good.

If Pastner can land Kuran Iverson, a 6-8 forward from NY, it would give us a Top 10 class easily.

Congrats on your recent pickup.
I believe UCONN is also recruiting Iverson along with CUSE and FLA. We will see who will land him. Good luck to Memphis.

Based on what is going on up at Marquette, one has to wonder how they are suddenly pulling such high recruiting classes. Even more curious is Providence, which was basically a graveyard for basketball relevance until their new coach took over last year. All of a sudden, they are recruiting top ten classes. Makes you wonder why Providence, the city and the school, are suddenly Duke, UCLA, Kentucky and Kansas all wrapped into one! Will the NCAA gumshoes be far behind?

Be glad that Providence is becoming relevant again. We need as many Big East schools as possible to be good. Adds to TV value.

Agreed and I think Coach Fuente and his staff are improving on that at a nice pace.

Coach Fuente already landed a big time QB recruit in Brayden Scott out of Oklahoma. He helped lead the 19-under USA team that finished runner-up to Canada this summer.

That's almost always because (a.) they are cheating, (b.) they hired a new assistant coach, (c.) both a and c. I don't know if they are cheating but I do know that when they added Chris Driscoll a couple of years ago is when their recruiting took off. Driscoll almost got his former player, Nerlens Noel to go to Providence and has helped land a lot of their recruits.

Providence is just doing what just about every other school that lands top recruits does.
