With coach Ron Hunter, we've already caught up to them in basketball recruiting. We have better h.s players in that sport too.

Ummm ok whatever you say. You wanna show me some proof of that? By the way just upon a quick check of GSU basketball you guys averaged an amazing 1,450 per home game last year. A big time increase from you 915 average the season before. So yeah you're right I'd much rather have GSU basketball over Charlotte. 01-wingedeagle

At this point, you have to ask yourself: No matter how entertaining Benson's words may be from time to time, is posting them here really worth the inevitable influx of Belters?

Dear CUSA,

You are welcome to have UNCC's excellent basketball program, which was so successful in our league that it managed to have a conference record better than exactly one team (Fordham) in the last four years. 13th of 14. Behind GW. Behind Duquesne. Behind URI. Behind St Bona. Behind St Joes.

Sincerely,

A-10.

PS, we have a team in our conference that plays FCS football, is in a HUGE city, and has a recent basketball success profile like UNCC. We'd like for CUSA to consider extending them a bid. Its Fordham. Just think of the market size. They, like UNCC and most likely ODU, will need a new stadium.

Or you can have this guy's other team, USA; which despite Charlotte's "horrible" record in the A-10, couldn't lure away the coach that couldn't figure out how to win in your much vaunted league.

Or you can take the GWU's basketball team, which despite having a slightly better record that the 49ers in that same time period, still managed two NCAA first round loses to the stellar programs at UNC Wilmington (2006) and a 33 point beatdown by Vandy (2007). All while racking up a 62-85 record since then.

Uh, GWU beat UNCW. And USA managed to get an at large in 2008. And GWU managed to win the A-10 regular season or tournament three times while UNCC was in the conference. Did UNCC win anything? No. Did UNCC come close to winning anything? Other than a race with Fordham for 13th place in the league? No. Did UNCC even get one of the 20 NCAA bids the conference got while they were a member of the A-10? No.

And GW's record since running off three straight NCAA appearances and conference championships isn't that great. But it is still better than UNCC's.

UNC-W??????? Good gawd, ECU isn't that good in BB, but we would crush the seachicken now, infact the late time we played them it wasn't pretty. UNC-W is now a dumpster fire.

SBC is 0-3 vs. the FCS McNeese State Cowboys... If Louisiana wasn't already overpopulated with FBS schools I would say invite McNeese to CUSA before either of the ULx Twins. Even better lets just have ULM move back down and McNeese move up!

The thing is McNeese only has a 9.2 million dollar athletic budget. Along with Cowboy stadium only holding 17.4K. In the early 90s I thought there was only a handful of schools that could make a jump. One of those was McNeese. But the thing is Ive never seen improvements of facilities there since then in Lake Charles. The only thing Ive seen is new turf.

So they have about the same budget as ULM then.
