Connecticut fans talk sh@t in football. Let that sink in.
Connecticut fans think they're some huge NFL pipeline. They currently have 18 players in the NFL. All no name players. UCF has 18 players in the NFL. With guys like Brandon Marshall, Asante Samuel, and Kevin Smith.
RUTGERS IS A FOOTBALL SCHOOL. They, historically, suck at football. The past decade they've been average. When your claim to fame is football, and you're not very good at it, it's not good.
West Virginia fans think the Syracuse game was the anomaly last year. In actuality it was the Clemson game.
UConn fans seems to think that the ESPN 50 best programs in the past 50 years is rigged. Because basketball started in 1990.
New Big East? More like New, New, New, New, New, New, New, New Big East.

Quote:“I don’t think we’ve been picked to win it at all (since 2009) and we’ve won it twice,” Swinney said of the Atlantic Division. “I’m much more interested in how it ends up in December.”
Just try to be healthy this time around because I'm tired of hearing about how bad y'all would have beat us, but being the only team in the history of the world that has injuries y'all were undermanned.
GT - Kevin Steele is gone. Just figured y'all would want the warning.
South Carolina - Hope you enjoyed the last few years. Dabo was concentrated on ridding the program of the stench of Bowden and the head **** took advantage to win consecutive games and 3 games for the first time since 1970. Again, Dabo said it best:
Quote:They ain't Alabama, they ain't LSU and they're certainly not Clemson. That's why Carolina's in Chapel Hill and USC's in California and the University in this state always has been always will be..Clemson. And it's right here in Clemson, South Carolina.
Quote: Baton Rouge police arrested and booked a 34-year-old South Carolina fan after he mooned fans at the LSU-South Carolina game Saturday night.
The Advocate reports police were called to section 409 of Tiger Stadium after fans complained about a man with his pants hanging below his waist, using vulgar language.
While police were escorting him down the stairs to question him, an affidavit says Charles Hattaway of Charleston, S.C., pulled his pants down and mooned the crowd.
Probably an honor graduate of that correctional institute on Assembly St.
It's hard to believe you can get arrested for that at LSU. Baton Rouge is off the hook. I thought about going to law school there but if I did I would probably have never made it past 1L year and would possibly have been dead of alcohol poisoning and fun by now.
Quote:South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier said Wednesday that defensive tackle Kelcy Quarles likely will face some sort of discipline for punching a player at LSU last week.
Spurrier said Wednesday the discipline would probably involve missing game time. A video on YouTube shows Quarles punching LSU center P.J. Lonergan in the facemask after a first-quarter play in the Tigers' 23-21 victory.
Spurrier says he's seen much harder punches during games than the one Quarles threw. Still, Spurrier says he does not condone what Quarles did.
"We do have plans to discipline Kelcy for that," Spurrier said. "I guess you could call it a punch. I've seen bigger punches, but he did throw (one) at him. I don't know if the LSU guy even knew he threw it, but I saw it. We don't condone that."
Quarles has started all seven games this year and has 30 tackles and 2½ sacks. He's dealing with a shoulder injury and Spurrier said the sophomore defensive lineman may not be physically able to play Saturday when the Gamecocks (No. 7 BCS, No. 9 AP) visit Florida (No. 2 BCS, No. 3 AP).
Prediction time. If Quarles is physically unable to go this weekend (a good possibility if one is to believe the coot propaganda network here in the Midlands) he will be suspended for the Florida game. If he is physically able to go he will at worst be suspended for the Wofford game. We are talking about the coach who all throughout Stephen Garcia's troubles in Columbia never suspended him from game competition.
Quote:According to news accounts, Gamecock defensive end Jadeveon Clowney and another player threatened LSU quarterback Zach Mettenberger before Saturday night’s game in Baton Rouge.
From the Shreveport News:
“We’re coming for you, 8,” a South Carolina player told Mettenberger, who wears No. 8.
“You’re not going to make it through the game,” South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney said.
“The little guy didn’t have his jersey on, but he was a player – probably a defensive back,” Mettenberger said.
The incident provided added incentive for LSU’s offensive line, which held the Gamecocks to one sack and Clowney, the SEC leader, to none.
“The player was Clowney and a defensive back. They were right out here when I went out to do warm-ups,” Mettenberger said while in the LSU locker room, just a few feet from the field. “They definitely had a few choice words to say to me, but I’m guessing they’re looking dumb right now with the loss on their record. Obviously, it didn’t work out for them too well.
“I was protected very well for most of the night,” Mettenberger said. “We had a great game plan. They wanted me to get the ball quick out of my hands because they had a great defensive line.”
Quote:If Clowney’s intent was to intimidate LSU, it didn’t work. The Tigers handed the Gamecocks their first defeat, 23-21, and were ranked no. 6 in the first BCS rankings released Sunday. South Carolina is no. 7.
It shouldn't be a surprise, they are just emulating their coach.
Quote:As for Spurrier’s game week wisecracks about the two Death Valley’s, he got that thrown back in his face, even though the joke was aimed at Clemson.
“That was Death Valley,” LSU coach Les Miles said after the game. “That was the place where opponents’ dreams come to die — and it was spectacular.”

Quote:South Carolina defensive tackle Kelcy Quarles has been suspended for Saturday's game against Florida (No. 2 BCS, No. 3 AP) after he threw a punch during last week's loss at LSU.
Defensive coordinator Lorenzo Ward said after practice Thursday that Quarles would not travel with the team as part of his penalty.
Quarles was unlikely to play this week anyway since he hadn't practiced because of a shoulder injury.
Quote:Gamecocks coach Steve Spurrier said he doesn't condone such actions. However, he said Quarles took a hit from behind that Spurrier described as a "sucker blow" earlier on the play that caused his shoulder injury.
"I guess you could call it a punch," Spurrier said Wednesday. "I've seen bigger punches, but he did throw (one) at him. I don't know if the LSU guy even knew he threw it, but I saw it. We don't condone that."

"If there is anybody I would bet on it is Marcus Lattimore. I know it will be a long process but I tell you what, I would put my money on Marcus Lattimore In a heartbeat. When he comes to terms with this, he will do everything he can to come back. My prayers go out to him and his family. I have been heavy-hearted for him. "
"He is a winner in every regard. Hopefully we haven't seen the last of him from a football standpoint. He has been a great representative for his family and his university. I will lift him up in my prayers."
Spurrier's response at a rally for Lattimore's 21st birthday?
