The Big West is trending upward...

Don't think so, The Big West is still one of the lowest conferences and BSU doesn't help it. This sinks the athletic dept even lower that not even football can help.
I think you need to change your user name to MWCPaul. Or maybe HawaiiPaul. 03-lmfao

Yes....I do!

Updated article.

So it’s costing Boise State $3 million in entry fees to its two new leagues; the Big East is paying $2.77 million to help.

I don't think you can link IdahoStatesman articles from forum boards.

I don't understand. It's a straight cut and paste.

Here's the link to the blog.

It's the second entry.

Poise's right. This is probably a copyright issue specific to this site. I was able to post it elsewhere.

I've done it many times before and it works in another forum I posted the link in.

Oh well. Use the blog link. That works.

RE: Boise St. to Big West (olympic sports)
I always found it funny how many people (mainly MWC trolls) claim that Boise is selling out their other sports by going to the Big West. While the MWC destroys the Big West in Men's BBall, the Big West is actually pretty good, dare I say, better than the MWC in most other sports. Look at the USA Today Polls for Big West sponsored sports and youll likely find a Big West team in the top 25 in nearly all of them. Can't say the same about the MWC. While I admittedly don't know what the actual conference rankings are in terms of quality sports teams, I can honestly say that the Big West definitely isn't a significant step down from the MWC.

...And, with San Diego State leaving the MWC with Boise, the Big West just took a significant bite out of Mountain West basketball (which is still reeling from the departure of BYU).

Well, it certainly got better today for sure. The movement of #40 SDSU to the BW along with Boise State #158 and being replaced by Utah State #134 and San Jose State #276 is not going to help the MWC. And the Big West has Long Beach State #51 and Santa Barbara #119 in their lineup. No, she's not the most beautiful girl out there, but she's pretty enough and the only girl that'll have you a kiss, so why not go out with her and see how it might work out? Looks like a win-win to me....

Did anyone see the news about the Big East and Big West agreeing to schedule games as part of the deal? That is another big plus that is going to help the BW. Check it out:
