Game Day Parking
I am heading over to Greenville for the game next weekend and unfortunately, am still without a parking pass. I read through this page on the ECU site (Football Game Day Parking Information) which has a parking map and some information about the different lots but I am not sure which one is my best bet. The site indicates that "most parking around Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium is is permit only."

Which, if any, of the lots on the map are first come, first serve? I am going to try and be in Greenville when the lots open at 8AM or shortly after. It does give a number for the Pirate Club to call about getting a pass but I am assuming that is only for members.

What I would really like to do is get a pass in-hand ahead of time so I don't have to worry about it but if that is not possible, I will take what I can get. Any guidance for visitor parking would be greatly appreciated. I ended up parking over by the grocery store in 2009 and it was not bad but I'd like to get a little closer if possible.

Thanks in advance!

RE: Game Day Parking
I've been parking behind the K-Mart for the last two seasons... the money goes to a boy scout troop, and at $10 it's half the price of several other nearby lots. If you parked at Harris Teeter last time, then you might not like the K-Mart lot because it's probably about the same length walk.

I'll be looking for black flags and block A's. That is where we will make camp. 7 days, 23 hours and 31 minutes....

IF you are grouping you might want to look at lots in the K Mart Shopping Center or the Greenville Mall.... both are arguably across the street from the Stadium. I'd argue to get to a parking spot 4-5 hours before game time to get primo spots.

RE: Game Day Parking
Cool, thanks for the pointers fellas!

My plan is to leave Raleigh around 6:30-7:00AM to get a prime spot. I've been told the Belk lot is first come, first serve without a pass as well as a gravel lot on 14th St. Hopefully if I am there at 8:00, I should be able to find a good spot to post up.

Im staying in Raleigh Friday too, I'll be there at the crack of dawn. Hopefully it doesnt take too long for the game traffic to disperse, with a 5 hour drive after the game, its going to be a long day.

If all else fails Harris Teeter at Charles Blvd and 14th St. isn't a bad place to park either. Close to beer, good food (Chanellos Pizza & Wings Over G'Ville) and an easy walk to the stadium. Walk towards and under the train tracks bridge, should be obvious after that.

Thanks, bud. Parked at the Teet last time and it went well. Identify yosef and I'll pass you a jar of Boone's finest corn squeezins.
