need help finding links to arrange SF tailgating
Can anyone direct me to sources to arrange for tailgating in SF.

My original parking plans have changed recently.

Pick what kind of parking that you need (RV or standard)

Then pick the lot (Waldron Deck is where the NIU people should park) HOWEVER you can only grill/cook on the upper deck. The lower deck is good if you want to sit in the shade and drink or eat preped food.

Option, didn't NIU have a grass area next to the stadium, games, food, and all kinds of good stuff.

Yes. Alum Association is hosting the same thing as last year in the same area. Seems like they are cutting back with expenses but it should still have beer.

Pregame tailgate

September 1 – 11 a.m.
The official pregame tailgate for NIU alumni, friends, and Huskie fans will be held on the Soldier Field Stadium Green, southeast side of the stadium, and will feature live entertainment, stadium concessions, and plenty of Huskie spirit. The NIU academic colleges will be represented, along with NIU Alumni Association affinity groups and DeKalb/Sycamore businesses.

thanx to everyone for info and links.

need to check with other attendees with me to ID which option is best.

upper deck to grill - oh yea
lower deck no grill - boring but simple
alum greenspace - fewest pre and post game hassles

Best advice probably is get there as early as possible.

I can't believe anyone would choose to tailgate for a college football game in the lower level of a parking garage

Waldron....Upper Deck....If it rains Lower Deck & no grills.

Note...Soldier Field website says they open 4 hours before kickoff (10:30) but they open much earlier than that.

If I were able to come...I would park in the bottom just because I don't grill and I know my wife would enjoy being in the shade.

Is there any other place to grill but the top of the parking garage? The lot last year was perfect we were in with the pre-purchased parking pass.

The South Lot is all yours if you want. You will find more Suckeye fans there.
Unlike previous times, NIU offered Waldron Deck Parking Passes to try and get Huskie Fans together.

Never been on top of the Waldron Deck but sure looking forward to it.04-cheers
