Thinking about Duquesne, Campbell, & Hampton has me wondering about our OOC opponents as FBS members. Just wondering what the fan base's most desirable OOC games are going to be. My top 5 are as follows:

1) VT
2) Pitt (for family reasons)
3) UVA
4) UNC
5) Texas (I want a reason to go to Austin)

Under normal circumstances, I'd have put Penn St above UVA, but that program will be down for a while. Also, you could throw Clemson in for UNC, and any number of major program's in for Texas and I'd still be happy. Hope the admin works for some of these games in the future.

Just strictly dreaming:

1. Alabama
2. Florida
3. USC
4. Ohio State
5. Texas

Realistically:

1. Penn State
2. VT
3. UVA
4. West Virginia
5. Maryland

1. VT - For family reasons and for all the same reasons as everyone else.
2. UVA
3. SC/Clemson - For family reasons. I can go down and stay with all my cousins and try not to get beat up wearing ODU gear around people who would literally lynch.
4. WVU
5. Any FBS school from Florida.

1. VT
2. UVA
3. Texas (grab some recruits)
4. Georgia (grab some more Heinicke's)
5. Navy (I think the 757 could make this a huge event)

1) VT
2) UVA
3) Notre Dame
4) Navy (as stated before it would be huge for this area)
5) VCU....oh wait...nevermind

1. VT (Home or away)
2. UVA (Home or away)
3. Navy (Only if home game as it would be huge in Norfolk)
4. JMU (Home - Probably won't happen often, if ever, but this is such an interesting game for locals)
5. Maryland, Wake Forest, Duke, Rutgers, etc. - any other winnable games against BCSers

Unless there are good local ties to a bigger-time BCS program, we need OOC games that are competitive and winnable. I don't see the value in traveling to the likes of LSU and losing 55-10.

Screw the snobs in Blacksburg. If they insist on 2 or 3 for 1 screw 'em. Many other top level teams would be willing to come here for the recruiting aspect. If they want to be super snobs with their overrated and always stumbling on the national stage team, then let 'em. We don't need the jerks.

2) UT - Couple the game w/ a couple days in Gatlinburg and you have a pretty awesome little vacation.
3) UVA - This is my fiancee's family school, would love to see their faces after an ODU win in Scott Stadium.
4) UCLA - Winnable game at the Rose Bowl and Cali recruits
5) Notre Dame

I picked mine out of fantasy... if I decided based on reality it would be slightly different. No way I'd want us to play SC.

I'd also want to play Liberty to check off a VA school from the list.

Having been there a few years ago when Marshall played at Wisconsin, trust me, if you ever schedule a game with the Badgers do not miss it. We got hammered by them but it was still a great trip. Just seeing this in person made the trip worth while...

But I agree with Clay, to start I think we stick with winnable or local interest. So to be more realistic I'd certainly keep the two VA schools, I think a series with Navy would be really cool considering the ties to the area, Duke and MD.

2-Auburn
3-Ohio St
4-Michigan
5-UF or FSU
