thoughts?

My thought has always been if an injury or surgery is going to keep a player out more than 4 games at the begining of the season and they have a redshirt, then redshirt them. Why would you basically cheat a player out of a year of eligibilty if you didn't have to.

That was like last year when DJ Hunter didn't apper in the VA Tech game I said he would redshirt. And he did, but others looked for him up until the 8th and 9th game which was Houston and UAB.

Tron will not be redshirted. Come on Chuck. The only reason he did not participate is because the staff already know what he and Van have done and therefore it was unecessary to risk getting him hurt in camps. He and Van will be 1 and 1a on sept 1 followed by Butler, Grooms, and Watson. I mean not only did Doc need to take the opportunity to see as much of the new guys as possible but both Grooms and Butler have been out of live action for over a year now. They needed to get their football legs back under them.

I would be shocked if Tron were redshirted.

I don't know, if he's not 100%, it might be best for him to RS, its not like we're lacking in talent at the RB position.

I agree. As I said if he doesn't play before the Rice game, again which is the 4th game. He should redshirt. I wish DOC could have got Zach Dunston to redshirt than have him leave the team.

Agreed, if he's injured and going to miss some games, why not RS him? Also have to look at doing the same to Watson. If he's down on the pecking order I would assume he's not going to see many carries this year.

Remi Watson doesn't have a RS. He sat out as a NQer last year.
