No offense, but how can anybody possibly justify voting for 3.0?

I'd say 1.0 initially but then I really like our current version a lot. We were starting to get a really good reputation with the top end of the conference (ECU, USM, UH, Tulsa, UCF, SMU).

I had considered that, but decided most of them would prefer a world with football in it over one without...

I agree. It's not offensive to say that. The first 2 are judged with hindsight while the 3rd hasn't even happened yet. My vote is for #1 by a landslide.

That would be a great conference - No reason for any of those schools to really want to move with a setup like that.

Why would Charlotte fans?

We were a part of CUSA 1.0 and it was the peak of our program since the run of success in the late 70's.

Landslide for C-USA 1. C-USA 1 was a very solid league. C-USA 2 wasn't real good, but was starting to get a little better. C-USA 3 is a joke and is at a minimum a decade away from even getting in spitting range of where C-USA 2 is right now.

Man, had that group agreed to all sports...it would be part of the BCS mafia at this point.

I'm not sure how anyone outside of the incoming schools could vote for #3 except through emotions while ignoring that there is no history to base it on. But, that's just this fan's opinion and emotions are pretty high around realignment.

The only negatives around #1 is the basketball only schools which led to multiple priorities among the members and version 2 brought some members that have been great conference partners with large, rabid fan bases.

Version 1 and 2 were good conferences, with all due respect to the incoming members; the jury is still out of version 3 just like it is on all reformed conferences.

1.0 was the strongest.

I obviously love 2.0.

3.0 is going to be a joke.
