Yahoo Big East Preview
More disrespect to Cats:

UC picked to finish 5th but most hilarious thing is their ranking of top 10 best non-conference games of season:

10. Louisville at Southern Miss, Sept. 29
9. Louisville at FIU, Sept. 22
8. Syracuse vs. USC in East Rutherford, N.J., Sept. 8
7. North Carolina at Louisville, Sept. 15
6. USF at Miami, Nov. 17
5. Pittsburgh at Notre Dame, Nov. 3
4. Virginia Tech at Pittsburgh, Sept. 15
3. Temple at Penn State, Sept. 22
2. Florida State at USF, Sept. 29
1. Rutgers at Arkansas, Sept. 22

Apparently Louisville at FIU is a better game than UC vs Virginia Tech.

Another gem is they rank Louisville as having "best coaching staff."

That article is a Louisville love-fest. I don't think they are as good as the media is saying they will be.

More of the same. Looks like the title is Loserville's to lose. Says something about conf losing its luster with WVU leaving, even though UC has won 3 of the last 4 titles and being ranked in 4 out of the last 5 seasons. There was a mention of Syracuse moving to the tougher acc. According to the numbers acc is on par if not as tough as the BE. Most glaring omission was UC v VT in the best 10 non-conf games. Loserville v S Miss and FIU on the list? Cuse is going to get smoked by USC.

Where does yahoo get these yahoos to write or them?

Maybe a little Charlie Strong BIAS?????

Most of these talking heads are clueless and they never watch the Big East or really know much of anything.
One guy at abc publication says Louisville and the rest follow suit. They don't do research.

Maybe it's because UL lost to FIU last year.

I hope your team finds a way to beat PSU. Didn't Temple almost beat PSU last year?

Yes. We should've, but we had the wrong QB starting.

No, I will most likely be in either California or North Carolina doing my senior internship.

on the sr internship...that's awesome, best wishes with that!

On Temple: they surprised the heck out of me last year but that was last year. I have not looked much at what you have coming back this year and so I'm not in a position to make a guess. But I do know you guys are heading in the right direction.

PS: love your uni's....the design is really cool

Thank you. We dont have a lot of starters back and depth is a question, but there is no doubt in my mind that we have the talent to compete in the BE. I think we'll be at the top of the conference sooner than later. This is far from the Temple that was losing back to back games 62-0.

There is no doubt in my mind that you significantly underestimate the talent on the other Big East rosters.

RE: Yahoo Big East Preview
That is what I think too. The jump from the MAC to the BE is significant. That would be like UC making the jump from the BE to the SEC. While we have been successful for the last several years where we are, we would struggle a ton if we moved to the SEC this year. I think Temple will have similar issues. Temple didn't even dominate the MAC while they were there. One divisional title and that is it.

UConn and Maryland both significantly underestimated us. We'll be ready. This isn't the SEC.

Ahhh the logic of looking at one game a season. I guess UC was ready to win the Big Ten after beating a ranked Wisconsin in 1999.

You want to look at single games, how about we look at a common opponent the last two years. Temple lost to Miami in 2010, and beat them by 3 last year. We have blown them out for about the last 5 years. They suck and their talent level is no where close to us, but you have not been able to blow them away. Don't cry when we hang half a hundred on you and get our 3rd string some time on the field.
