Don't worry. He will be back soon enough to remind us how things will be the same now and in the next 10000000 years. Names on the front of the jerseys are the only thing that matter and nothing will change because college football is set in stone for life.

He will say the conference would be lucky to get $10M per school for all sports 03-lmfao

And not that I think Frank deserves this kind of thread, but if you think he does it might be ummm prudent to wait to start it until we actually have a good deal, not when we've just hired the right sort of people to get us a good deal.

RE: Where is Frank the Tank?
For those who keep forgetting, Frank is a DePaul fan. Yes, on the football side, he is Big Ten - centric, but that is to be expected, as he is also an Illinois fan. Frank says what he thinks, and is not afraid to admit when he is wrong. His positions don't agree with a lot of us at times, but he tries to explain his position, and does not just come in here being negative about every little thing.

He was a the first person to post the new commissioners name this morning and he was pretty positive about the selection.

Agree, but I think Frank has been fumbling quite a bit as of late here in the Big East forum, and that explains why many of us see him as an always negative type poster now.

Why the hate on Frank? The guy is very knowledgeable and backs up his arguments/statements with a logical and thorough explanation.

The guy has been in here for years. Don't base your opinion of him on the last few weeks. And I don't recall anything where he came down on the BE w/o thoroughly explaining his position with facts and reasoned opinions.

I disagree with him at times, but I respect his right to express his opinions in the courteous manner that he does. Much unlike a few trolls who have come our way.

RE: Where is Frank the Tank?
First off, I don't see any venom laced posts towards Frank. So asking where all the hate is in it's self placing a negative slant on this thread.

The original post was simply asking where he was during the latest announcements. Mind you I responded quickly as he usually does post a retort that is slanted in a negative way towards the nBE Brass, Teams and Fans. Now I am not saying he doesn't give a good write up because he does. He however does post almost always negatively towards most positive comments.

He will mainly say that we are off base as the nBE is a bunch of no bodies and that we don't deserve to be in the same breath as those whom created the BCS. Well I do have a problem with that but hey it's his opinion and he's welcome to it.

That still doesn't mean that this thread is negative. Most posters here like myself are curious as to what he will write about the new developments. 03-phew

This!

He got the Aggie move wrong, and he will get the BE payday wrong! He misses on big things.

I totally agree with you. Frank does thoroughly explains his current Big East fumbles with courteous manners more so than others.

RE: Where is Frank the Tank?
Frank has actually been fairly positive about the Big East's chance at a good TV contract. His predictions have been a little lower than our more optimistic estimates, but Frank has been pretty fair in that regard. Where he has been consistantly negative is with respect to the New Big East's bowl prospects. Unfortunately, as it has thus far played out, much of what he has predicted has been fairly on target. Interestingly, he is fairly positive about the prospect of the Big East starting thier own bowl. Personally, I think Frank has been a good poster.

Agreed. None of his posts are slanted. He is as non-biased as they come, and though I don't always agree with him, I am pleased by his presence on this board.
