Should help with our TV negotiations and his relationship with the SEC during his time at CBS. If he counts Silve as one of his friends thats a great benefit.

From his cbs bio

Aresco joined CBS Sports from ESPN where he was responsible for overseeing the acquisition, scheduling and development of long-term strategies for all of ESPN and ESPN2's college sports properties. Aresco also was responsible for programming a wide variety of sports properties, including college football, ATP and Davis Cup tennis, boxing, the Racing Across America Series, rodeo and yachting. He was the architect of ESPN's Thursday night college football series and was instrumental in developing "Bowl Week." He joined ESPN in 1984 and was named Assistant General Counsel in 1988 before moving to the ESPN programming department.

Seems interesting that a guy with a great job at CBS is going to leave for the BE.

I mean, the expectations are going to be high for a deal with him and the consultants on board. He must know that, so there is only one logical conclusion.

Resume sounds impressive. Now we have 2 guys with tv negotiation experience. Certainly what we need for the upcoming tv negotiations. ESPN won't be able to b/s our Commish.

Actually, we have THREE guys. It was in the original tweet, but media who picked it up later missed it.

The Big East hired TWO firms: Bevilacqua's company, PLUS EMC, whose senior partner for Sports Media (Alan Gold) will also be involved. He partnered with Bevilacqua on the PAC 12 deal, too.

So Aresco makes THREE TV guys in the mix, and undoubtedly the strongest trio you could put together for the upcoming negotiations.
