Wait, is your signature bragging about calipari's time at umass?

Obviously you are more educated about his time there than me. But I was under the impression that umass had to vacate their magical season with camby.

Marcus was young and did accept some jewelry, which cost us the Final four money, not the season. Marcus actually donated money to UMass that made up for the final four money. It was not just a magical season, that was 1992 and the Sweet 16 run and we also had two elite eights.

Regarding the signature there are two points. One, there is a UMass family and two no matter the out come of the first two season results, we are building a program. Cals first two years were not great and neither was Derek Kellogg.

Cal has always stayed connected wth the program. His daughter went to UMass and graduated around 2008. He cares about UMass and has attend a number of UMass events. It was during conference play time and had a game, while coaching Memphis, but made it to a UMass 7 PM game that honored Coach Leaman. (He actual said during the game that he had two planes, one on stand-by.) Jack Leaman lived UMass. There are many stories.

Coach Monar believes in building a program at UMass with his signature and his conversation with Cal reinforced his vision.

The signature says both points. It's not just UMass Basketball that Cal cares about. We got to hear after DK's hire about the UMass family cheer us on during the 2008 NIT run.

Fair enough. I was just shocked that you chose to use Calipari in your signature. It's not like he has a squeaky clean image.
