One of the more underappreciated benefits to Akron hiring Terry Bowden is that he brings with him a staff that has connections all over the national sports media.

Just in the past three days, we've seen an article from SportingNews, An interview on Yahoo Sports Radio, And an article by Dennis Dodd on CBS Sports. I expect more national articles to come along.

Aside from the local newspaper, the Cleveland media hasn't even acknowledged that we are fielding a football team. Then again, that's just part of their policy of pretending that Akron and Canton don't actually exist and that downtown Cleveland is a singular urban area surrounded by hundreds of empty miles of trees and farmland.
