SBC/MAC TV Package Comparison
Number of Appearances by ESPN Platform MAC
ESPN3 (34)
ESPN/ESPN2 (13)
ESPNU (12)
ESPNRT (12)

MAC Total: 71
MAC Appearances per school 5.46

http://www.mac-sports.com/News/tabid/969...ision.aspx

Number of Appearances by ESPN Platform SBC
ESPN3 (22)
ESPN/ESPN2 (7)
ESPNU (13)

SBC Total: 42
SBC Appearances per school 4.2

http://www.sunbeltsports.org/SportSelect...PSID=22165

-I included late announced games from both the MAC and SBC in the totals.

-The Sun Belt it closing the gap on the TV front but still has a ways to go to catch up to the MAC.

I agree there is a lot of long term potential here for the SBC on the TV front but it will be a while until its realized.

ESPN Regional Television. If you ever see a game with "ESPN Plus" branding on a channel like CSS, you're watching an ESPN Regional Television production.

RE: SBC/MAC TV Package Comparison
ERT is no different than what the Sun Belt Network does ... using ERT for the MAC and not the SBN for the SBC makes an inaccurate comparison

And yet your MAC champ plays our #2 team in Mobile most the time.

JAN 6 • ESPN @ 9:00 PM
MAC #1 vs Sun Belt #2

NOT TO MENTION the SBC averages more in attendance on average than the MAC does.

he posted the same thing on the MAC board, but didn't use us as a comparison for his research. the only purpose in posting this over here is to satisfy some need to think his Conference is better than someone else's in some small way.

looking at that schedule, seems only saturday televised games are versus BCS teams, the ones that they pay you to play them

and then some Tuesday and Thursday night games that few watch

Have you ever thought that not everyone watches the BC$ games? I know it may be hard to believe, but...

Oh...Oh...! Tuesday & Thursday games are generally the "only show in town" those nights...not hard to get viewership from real football fans.

I'd also like to personally apologize to GSU for not extending the invite...you deserved it! 03-lmfao

Yeah I watch those Thursday night games when I am bored in a hotel bar somewhere, pretty much only thing on, doesn't really make them popular, the BCS conferences hardly even know who these teams are aside from them being a cupcake on their schedule and a bought win

That is a challenge when we only get offers from SEC/ACC schools, would love a shot at a SBC team, would be a good matchup

Troy has wins over Mississippi State, Oklahoma State,#17 Missouri, Bowling Green, Marshall, Ohio, Rice, UAB, Utah State, Idaho

All of those are from 2000-2011

I think Ga Southern would have a good game with the bottom half of the SBC but I think the top half have too much depth and talent for your level. Most FCS teams under estimate the SBC.
