Here's my 6+ page summary of the 65-page Committee On Infractions report. I tried to whittle it down to a couple of pages, but there's just so much dirt and so much explaining needed, that it turned out to be just over 6 pages in Word.

The TL; DR: UCF cheated. Tribble cheated, lied about it, then lied about it some more. Kelly cheated, then lied about it. Jones cheated, then came clean. The penalties truly are more for Tribble and the lying. The actual infractions aren't all that bad, but the fact that UCF staff lied about it made it that much worse. The COI caught Tribble lying during 3 different interviews, including during the COI hearing in April 2012. They caught Kelly lying at his interview in August. And what did they lie about? Knowing Caldwell had contacted recruits and forwarded recruit information to them.

Every piece of dirt exposed in the NOA was more or less proven against UCF, from the improper out-of-state tuition waiver for Caldwell's son, to Tribble trying to help get Damarcus Smith's mother a job transfer, to all the improper benefits and impermissible contact.

We deserve both postseason bans. We just need to take our bruises now, and have our chance at the Big East title and a better bowl next season, honestly.
