Do any of the state schools play against the Hogs in Olympic sports?

Twice in the history of the schools. 80 something mens NIT met first round UofA-F won 67-64 in OT at their house. again in late 80's early 90's in WNIT stAte pretty well throttled them in JB.

But in rugby we could take their scores from their games against us add them together, multiply that times 4 and and they still wouldn't have scored as much as 1 of out wins against them! Haha the average score is something like 50-4.

it's not weird. Bowling Green is only 40 min north of Nashville and we have a large fan base their. Most of our fans enjoy the annual trips to Nashville. Plus it really pisses off Vandy and MTSU. COGS

I always thought a 'razorback' was a pig, but I guess it's really just a chicken.

No, the policy applies to all sports. They famously pulled out of a baseball tournament a few years back when the host institution of the tourney invited ASU without asking Arkansas first.

Its just possible for the two schools to meet in olympic sports in a postseason tourney. Although, Arkansas has even been turning down those opportunities lately after a WNIT game in Jonesboro in 05 featured 11,000 ASU fans hurling insults at Razorback players, coaches, and administrators and the state flag being flown upside down (and a 15 point Pig loss).

There have been a couple years that Arkansas has turned down NIT invites in basketball when it appeared ASU or UALR might make it.

Thank goodness the Floirda schools dont have that bias or issue.

Not true OwlFamily, if UCF didn't get called up to the BE, USF would not schedule them in football, ever. Same can be said with FIU and us starting next year. You're kookoo if you think Pete Garcia is willing to put FAU on the FIU football schedule after this year.

UALR and Arkansas played in volleyball in post-season, but other than that and the two ASU meetings, no in-state opponents in any sport.

I guess you may be right. But its not like NEVER.

We've all played UF.

UCF,USF,UofM,FIU,FAU,FSU have all played against each other and even in recent memory in some capacity. Hell, we just signed UofM to a 2 for 1.

The Hogs wont even CONSIDER playing stAte apparently. Thats like UF telling all of us to Piss off and dont call again which doesnt happen.

I think you're kookoo if you think the FAU/FIU series won't continue. You guys have played each other 10 times, that's the most either of you have played any school and the most either of you have played any other school is four times.

The series makes too much sense not to continue. I'm not saying it will become an annual game(personally I think it should and as a fan of either school, I'd want it to) but I suspect in fifty years, the two of you will still be in each other's top ten, if not top five, most played opponents.

Twice in the history of the schools. 80 something mens NIT met first round UofA-F won 67-64 in OT at their house.

The story was Nolan was coaching for his life - stAte was up 21 @ Barnhill in the 2nd half - and up 17 with 10 minutes to play. The refs let Nolan's waves of athletes play and flagrantly elbow our player in the head away from the ball, but not away from the camera, with no foul called on Statewide TV. The Indians just wore down - our 90% FT shooting 53% FG shooting point guard missed 2 free throws down the stretch that cost us. It was an epic fail on ASU.

Keeping the kookoo reference alive, FIU's AD is kookoo, and will ignore the fact that it makes sense inorder to try to get a leg up over FAU (just like USF did to UCF) and wil ltry to go for the big boys.

You can live vicariously through us. I'm pretty sure they're on our schedule next year.
