Good afternoon. Many Blazers fans have been bending Coach Garrick McGee's ear (myself among them)about changing the helmet logo for our football team. The majority would like to see the "Big Head Dragon" on the sides of them, given how several teams in Conference USA have undergone some very noticeable and impressive uniform changes, to include the helmets, and I'm not sure how long you all have had them, but that logo you all have with the "Jolly Roger" in the Pirate hat with the crossbones? Very impressive. Saw them in a photo along with an article about the preseason All-Conference team by CBS Sports Radio. Also, if I'm recalling right, on Friday night, Yahoo Sports Radio did a "Rivals" segment on UAB and East Carolina in regards to early signees for 2013. It's been my observation over the last year that Yahoo Sports Radio & CBS Sports TV gives Conference USA its' due more than any other national sports radio outlet. If I can find the link to that article, I'll share it here, unless you all are already on top of it. Anyway, thanks for the indulgence.

We first debuted the Skull & Crossbones logo during the 2009 game against Virginia Tech. In 2011, the players decided they wanted those helmets to be the primary ones during the year. Judging by NCAA 13, they're apparently going to remain our primary helmets this year.

I'm in the minority in that I don't like them. I loved them at first, but now I'd prefer we go back to the "ECU" helmets.

Make logo larger... it almost seems too small for the helmet.

I could live with purple helmet and logo on a torn black flag.

Who did the photobucket helmet mock-ups? There were some pretty cool ones there.

I'd like to see a throwback helmet for special games... Love the helmets during the Jeff Blake era.

First time I'd watched ECU play a football game, I'm thinking he (Blake) was the QB, the Pirates were down 17 late in the 4th quarter, I'm thinking the game's over, turn off the set and hit the sack...To my stunned surprise, I watch a sports show the next morning, and they mentioned that game (it was a home game, if not mistaken) & how great ECU's comeback victory was! I went WTF?! They came back and won? No way! Wish I could remember who it was they played. But ECU did! Remarkable!

NC STATE '91 Peach Bowl in Atlanta. We might have been considered the home team.

Regardless of which helmet we wear, I like that Ruff lets the players pick it.

My personal favorite is the old 'Pirates' script logo.
