A Georgia Southern fans posts something negative about GSU and you fall for it hook, line and sinker.

What wasn't pointed out was that ODU was dead last in this poll last year.

ODU didn't lose to D2, NAIA, and low-end FCS teams though. They beat the cupcakes they were supposed to beat.

Yet, they were still ranked last. The point being the rank means nothing.

Yes I started this thread. Yes I am a fan of Georgia Southern but I am also a graduate of Troy who is a member of the SunBelt.

So if I post something that you feel is negative about GaSt tough get used to it. The difference is going to be where ODU finnish last year and where your school is going to finnish this year.

I wasn't a fan of Georgia State being offered a bid. But.....Benson did as well as he could in this case. And thank God that we didn't end up with UNCC as well.

We have as many move ups as CUSA does now. And here's where our move ups stand in comparison to theirs.

1) South Alabama - plays a full FBS schedule this year
1) Texas State - plays a full FBS schdudule this year
3) UTSA - plays a full FBS schedule NEXT year
4) Old Dominion - no FBS schedule announced
5) Georgia State - no FBS schedule announced
6) UNCC - No program.

We will be playing a full Sun Belt schedule next year.

Also, to amend my earlier comment, I was wrong - ODU was picked 10th. The team that was picked last was Towson - which beat-out ODU for the conference championship, and was 1-10 the year before. Clearly prior year's results are as indicative of future performance in FCS as some here would have us believe.

Rhode Island's pretty bad. Maybe they'll finish ahead of them.

I'm sorry.. Ga State and ODU will be playing an incomplete FBS schedule next year (unless they get some OOC FBS games)

This is no surprise. Ga St may beat Rhode Isle, but I dont think Rhode Isle even offers the full number of FCS scholarships. I see 3 wins tops, and most likely 1-2.

Gonna be a big big black eye for the Sun Belt. "The SB's FCS team" otherwise known as GaSt is going to get absolutely wasted, while "the Cusa's FCS team," ODU, is going to perform quite well. Brace for more Cusa crap. The only thing that could have changed it is a flood of transfers and Juco's, which didnt happen. Too late now.

georgia state is just going to prove that they were picked for their market, and nothing else. the lack of fans at games and awful football aren't selling points. the CAA is going to own GA State this season.
