Doesn't UT tend to honor their games in Memphis? Thought they brought a fair number of fans to the game.

I think the last time they played in Memphis they didn't have a game with either Mississippi school. Is that an area that the Vols recruit in?

UT has a history of moving games to future schedules when they think Memphis may be fielding a halfway decent team. It's happened several times already.

Sounds pretty slimy to me.

It would be if it were true but it's not. Lots of Volunteer hate going on in Tiger Nation and some things get distorted. The contract will be honored. Now Arkansaw is a different animal.

It is 100% true. UT has rescheduled the game on Memphis several times.

Actually, the piggies owe us FIVE games left on a 10-year contract, which they dropped after finding themselves trailing 2-3 in the first 5 games.

Regarding the "sink or swim" remark, Tiger football used to be pretty good, but you are an independent in the middle of SEC country, you can be pretty good without anybody across the nation ever knowing it. Playing SEC schools and independents such as Southern Miss made it sort of tough making it into bowl games in those days (weren't nearly as many of them).

Hopefully you'll know how to swim by then.

Let's figure out how to doggie paddle again first.
