Dyer Transfer Rumors
Twitter is a flitter with Dyer to Pittsburgh St rumors.

fun facts:

1. They are Gorillas, stAte was Gorillas one year
2. They beat the lvin' sh!t out of stAte when we were a good 1-AA team @ homecoming once - their coach? None other than Texas State's Dennis Franchione - we were shocked and awed!

LOL but Pittsburgh State is close to Little Rock - as close as you can get in Kansas!

RE: Dyer Transfer Rumors
Apparently the guy used to live in the area.

He said he got a 3rd text from someone else this morning that he trust...

He might just be trying to drive people to read his stuff on BR, but for a guy that is trying to make a name for himself/legitimize BR, he has made some left field statements about Dyer. If they are false, then that does nothing but completely diminish any bit of respect that he or BR may have garnered over the past couple years.

@WallyLikeItIs: Ark State's Gus Malzahn press conference Friday to discuss Mike Dyer's future. Rumor Dyer to Division II Pittsburg State

Wally is a sports columnist for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.

Either Gus really takes twitter rumors from the BR seriously, or there is a little bit of fire where the smoke is.

Or Wally is lying about the press conference as well.

Heard Gus on ESPN earlier today and he said he wasn't sure what Dyer was going to do, go to the NFL or sit out a year.

RE: Dyer Transfer Rumors
His goal, I hope, is the NFL.

You can't really blame the guy. He will be eligible after this season. Why not go somewhere to play NOW and get that draft stock up.

If he sits out this year at AState and decides he wants to declare, he is probably going to be a 2-3 rd draft pick. If he heads to DII to play immediately he will be an easy 1st round pick.

RE: Dyer Transfer Rumors
If he leaves, we lose nothing. It's not like our offense was built around him. With the addition of Oku, we have PLENTY of other RB's.

Besides, he brought a lot of publicity....so no matter what, we got what we needed out of him.

I agree with that, especially if he decided he didn't want to stick around after sitting out this season.

True, but our best QB is our backup.

Besides how long did we have to hear stAte fans crow about Dyer? If he does leave talk about counting your chickens before they hatch. Lol
