If this element doesn't improve dramatically, the ship goes down (and with it, the Captain Kangaroo Enos, as well --- year three is the "show me" year)! Mr. Heeke, your seat will be hot too! The moving van can easily accommodate two families back to (East) Lansing! Based upon what I've seen in the first two years, a 1-4 start is very realistic!

I too am concerned with the defense.

I know its only July, but who are going to be our Linebackers?

I don't see a Berning or a Bellore type in the bunch... hope I'm wrong.

Someone out of that group has to step up and lead this defense and by example.

Corners and safeties I think are talented enough to play at this level. But, our line, (in my opinion) is a little bit light. And in light, I mean, we need two or three 300, 310, 320+lb tackles and good size ends.... If we can't get pressure on the QB through our ends and our linebackers, I don't care how good our secondary is... they will get lit up like a Christmas tree if we give the opposing QB's all day to throw. I just don't see our defensive line being able to give us that good "push" up the middle...

Actually, I'm starting to think we actually might have a pretty darn good offense.... but we will have to win games 45 to 43 (shades of Butch Jones) I'm afraid all season long. Unless the defense can make some huge improvements.

And if RR throws ints like its going out of style again, ugh.... wake me when its over...
