SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO – After leading the VCU baseball team to the 2010 CAA Championship, Richard Gonzalez never stopped playing the game he's always loved.

The former Ram is still playing and playing at a high level. That's obvious after Gonzalez was named to the Puerto Rico National Baseball Team and will join the squad for the 26th annual Haarlem Baseball Week in the Netherlands.

"It's an honor to have a chance to play for my country against some of the best teams in the world," Gonzalez said. "This is an opportunity that not a lot of players get and I'm really grateful."
