2012 Sun Belt Football Preview, Predictions

The Sun Belt wasn't going to be a part of the conference realignment earthquake that's currently taking place among the entire NCAA. That was until several teams decided to depart for the C-USA starting in 2013, leaving the conference in an awkward position to pick a quick replacement.

South Alabama will play its first season as a Division-1A program this year for the Sun Belt.

This will be the final year FIU and North Texas will be a member of the Sun Belt, thanks to the Conference USA needing help after losing members to the Big East.

Here is a preview for the 2012 Sun Belt season with predictions.

North Texas 6-6 (5-3)
Troy 5-7 (4-4)

Looks like a well thought out prediction.

Those Western Louisiana University fans are going to love that 4-8 prediction.

3-9, and two SBC wins? What, are we gonna lose to Memphis? Haha. No thanks. At WORST 4-8.

Sometimes it seems like none of these folks predicting what will happen in the Belt actually research anything.
