I think BYU or Fresno St. First fan of those schools who want to play add their team.

I'm good with either. Rosters should be available soon. Once I have them you can get them from the EA locker.

Would love to get a practice game in tonight if anyone wants to play.

Also, I beg the league to have a no cheese rule. The big one would be the MLB glitch.

Do we want to guess who 14 might be and add them or just go with the 2013 league configuration because we know who those schools are? For now I'll just add the 2013 schools:

Boise State - BroncoFan78*
Cincinnati -
Houston - UHcougars
Louisville -
Memphis - UofMTigerFan
Rutgers - NJRedMan
San Diego State - PoiseState*
SMU -
Temple -
Uconn -
UCF - TampaKnight
USF -

Whats the schedule like for this sort of thing? I can get some games done on the weekends and MAYBE one a night if im lucky.

P.S. im not married to Rutgers, ill gladly give it to a Rutgers alum and ill take whoever is left over.

Adding BYU would add the most to the dynasty so everybody good with adding Navy (of course) and BYU?

There will be some rules put in place I've been searching the OD forums on Operation Sports for a good set to "borrow" for this league, they have done extensive research on this subject over there.

RedMan- you're Rutgers dude. :) We're shooting for 2 game weeks per calendar week, but if that becomes an issue on certain weeks, we can hold it to a 1:1 ratio to accommodate.

Curious, how do these gaming companies get away with using the likeness and names of players without the players
getting paid? Do the gaming companies give a cut to the NCAA then the schools get a cut?

I think there is a lawsuit in the court system on this matter.

They don't use names or likenesses. Just jersey numbers. Individual people go through rosters and rename them to actual players after the game comes out and most times distribute them for free.

The Sam Keller lawsuit was thrown out a few years ago I believe and resulted in EA making what players look like completely random.

No more non league related posts please.

I think the only thing that holds true for the players is their skin colors and I have even seen that all screwed up before.

Here is the list of current league commits. I've added Navy and a spot for one of the 3 most likely schools to be the infamous #14. First person to claim one of those teams, will get that team added to the league, the rest will be out. Please let me know if you're missing from this list so I can get you added.

Boise State - BroncoFan78
Cincinnati -
Houston - UHcougars
Louisville -
Memphis - UofMTigerFan
Rutgers - NJRedMan
San Diego State - PoiseState
SMU - UCFKnightfan08
Temple -
Uconn -
UCF - TampaKnight
USF -
Navy-
BYU/AFA/Fresno State -

UCFKnightfan08 brought up what I think is a solid idea during our PM exchange that I wanted to throw out as well. Based on his past experience with the CUSA league that he's participated in, he felt that at times it was difficult to get everyone on the same page on a weekly basis via just the message board thread. He suggested that we exchange numbers so that if necessary, a quick text could be sent to league members reminding them of the next "advance week" date. This would help insure that you are not robbed of an opportunity to give another one of us a wicked beatdown any given week. He's sent me his # and I've replied to him with mine. If this is something you're alright with, please just PM your number to me within the next week and half. I'll compile a list and send it to all participating members once league play begins. If you're not comfortable with that, it's no problem at all, but I can see a definite benefit to being able to send a group message to one another from time to time.

So you know, a gamer by the name of Rebelfan1611 has put up a great roster that appears to be about 98% accurate for all teams. It's not as extensive of a file as the community ones you'll find on Operation Sports (those involve ratings adjustments, equipment adjustments, etc. for maximum realism) but it's still quite good and it's certainly out sooner than the community files will be. Again, gamertag is Rebelfan1611.

How will divisions be broken up? Geographic or random since travel doesn't really effect any of us?

Good question. I'll admit that this is a subject that I hadn't given a lot of thought to yet, but at first glance I'd be inclined to put Navy out west with Boise St, SDSU, Houston, SMU, UCF, and BYU/ AFA/ Fresno. I know Memphis' AD said they'd be going out west for at least '13, but after we get to 14 my assumption was always that Navy would be there with UCF. In short, geographic. Certainly this subject is open for debate.

I'd be open to use rotating divisions that change every season. Of course this only applies that we make it past one season, which i hope we do. So we would need to use non-geographic divisions.

I say before we start we count up the number of players and then we split them equally between the two divisions. Having 6 users on one side and two on the other does not make it fair and competitive for everyone when it comes to bowls. You could be 7-5 on the hard side and go to a bad bowl because another user got to pad his win column with CPU opponents.

That was a big problem when people stopped playing. One division had only one person active at one point in NCAA '12.

That makes total sense. So we'll divide teams by whatever makes the most sense with equally dividing human players carrying the most weight.

Here's a list of teams still available for those that are looking to get in on this (some good teams too):

Cincy-
UConn-
Louisville-
Temple-
USF-
Navy-
BYU/AFA/Fresno-

I would literally play with any one of those schools.

You guys may run into some issues with your Dynasty in terms of freezing about midway through your seasons. Seems a lot of people (including me) are running into hard freezes at random points around week 5-7 of any season.

When you make the divisions I would be willing to play with either SDSU or Temple if it helps make the divisions make sense in a geographical way.
