Normally Bleacher Report is liking reading used toilet paper. However, she does some creative thinking in terms of using Boise State and BYU to compliment one another, even suggesting an annual Thanksgiving Day game between the two.

Such a rivalry would bring massive attention o the conference. She touches on something that BYU administrators don't want to mention publicly but you know their fans are concerned about...strength of schedule.

Surprising coming from a Big Ten disciple.

I'd love it. Get BYU in the conference and have a Boise/BYU matchup Thanksgiving weekend. Absolutely perfect.

BYU vs Boise on Thanksgiving Weekend makes a heck of a lot of sense...add the fact that in some years, the Big East West Division title rights might be on the line in that game as well.

Props to the Big Ten (Nebraska) blogger...as its maybe the first article I've read on that site in years.

I like the idea. Need something to replace the traditional Texas vs Texas A&M game I grew up watching over Thanksgiving break.

First thing ever worth reading from Bleacher Report. Nice find. I agree with her getting that matchup as a Thanksgiving weekend matchup would be an excellent boost to the Big East Football Conference.

Big East could have several rivalry games that weekend: (Friday and Saturday):

USF vs UCF

BYU vs Boise State

SMU vs Houston

etc...

BYU/Boise Game with Mountain time kickoff gives the conf the benefit of a double or triple header that day...with BYU vs Boise kicking off last in Prime Time (Eastern Time).

SMU and TCU have played 92 times. I think they plan to continue it.

Man, that went from C-USA vs MWC to Big East vs Big 12. Not bad.

No, but they owe us $5 million. I wonder if they paid it by the alleged June 30 deadline.

I understand Cincinnati-Louisville is our oldest/best rivalry. I was just pointing out that SMU also has an historic rival.

Props for using "an" before an "h" adjective even while mildly provoked.
