I hope so. Will difficult as long as Curry is our coach. He made the infamous "We Will Bring The Cheaters To Their Knees" speech while coaching GT. Was obviously a reference to Georgia. A lot of the older GT faithful are still upset that he left GT for Alabama. Having said that I think both of those games happen within 5 years.

They may decide not to schedule you guys like Alabama and Auburn wont schedule us.

I still think we at least get Tech scheduled. We grew out of Tech as their night Business School in 1913. Much less animosity.

well if you grew out of them chances are strong they wont play you. Look at Alabama and UAB.

I don't expect State versus Southern to happen unless Southern makes the jump to FBS. State should by no means agree to play in Statesboro(or at any FCS venue) and Southern probably would view playing a one off at State as an indignity.

Wisconsin-Whitewater and Mount Union have faced each other for the past seven DIII national championships. Very impressive, but swagger worthy? Sure, when talking to other DIII fans.

Again, no one gives a damn about FCS football and outside of the bottom 10 FBS schools playing the top 10 FCS schools, the FBS school would and should be favored every time.

See what I mean. Its been like this for 3 years. We were 10th and 18th in FCS attendance and yet we have only 100 fans. LOL. This thread got moved to the smack board because they came in as per usual running their mouths. Like I keep saying, as much as they would like to and hope to they will never be relevant to us. In Georgia we're part of the state Big 3 academically and now we join that echelon athletically. We said this was the plan in 2009 and GS and all of the members of the AGS cult laughed and insulted. Yet here we are. So keep those insults coming.

As an outside observer, it seems like the Georgia Southern fans are going out of their way to provoke the Georgia State fans in just about every Georgia State thread. Probably time to give it a rest.

At the same time, I get it. I've read and posted in about 10,000 threads that are exactly like this (just replace Georgia Southern with App State and Georgia State with UNCC). Same petty insults, same "their side started it" arguments, etc.

It's easy to get pissed off when a startup programs jumps you, especially when you feel that they have not done anything to "earn" it. But at the end of the day, the FBS move ups are where we (App and Georgia Southern) want to be. It easy to be bitter about it and put down those schools every chance you get, but it doesn't help anything and just makes your fanbase look bad. Our day will come, but until then it's probably best to quit picking fights like this.

First victory over an FBS school was 2000 over Louisiana Tech in Murfreesboro, we were already FBS at the time...and I was 17 and was not yet a Middle Tennessee fan.

oh....I didnt know. I just assumed that you guys were like us beating FBS schools while MTSU was still FCS

I just hope Ga State represents the SB well this year as they should go 8-0 in a FCS conference since they are a FBS team in a major market.
