Wow, shocked that the Grizz plan to spend some cash.

The Grizz will have about $4MM to sign TWO free agents.
Folks need to quit putting out names of guys who are actually good NBA players. A $2M guy will be like Jared Jeffries, Reggie Evans, Earl Barron or Jason Kapono.
The Grizz will go over the luxury tax ... they want and need some outside shooting. see linkage above this post ...

I hope we take a look at Brandon Roy. If he can play again you could wind up with an All Star type player fairly cheap.

Roy has narrowed his list to 5 teams. Shockingly, the Grizz aren't one of them.

I would, too, but I was just riding with the assumption that most Grizz writers (Herrington, Vernon, Tillery) believe they will choose to keep Darrell.
DA is likely to take the QO because not that many teams will take the risk on him because of his injury history. He's basically missed two seasons due to injury of his four, and he was red flags before the 2008 draft because of what looks like a future health problem.
Mo Speights might get offers because of his size and shooting, but he might be obtainable on a reasonable deal.
Today's article in the CA indicates the Grizz might be willing to go over the salary cap.

None that get bigger offers, but if players get equal offers from Memphis any other teams, if the Grizz can offer PT, I think Grizz offer an attractive situation. The Grizz have a strong core, should be a playoff team next year, and Memphis money packs a punch cuz of cost of living. Grizz can't compete with the Knicks, Heat, Lakers, or Bulls, but I bet if the choice is Bucks, Jazz, Cavs, or Grizz, the Grizz win.

This coming season will be the last one for the dollar for dollar tax? It doubles the year after, correct?
