The folks that live near the fire are lucky all the wind currents are blowing in an upwards direction at present. If that changes, the fire will march on - fast...

He is still ok and the fire was stopped by the Air Force Acadamy so far.

My son indeed has had an interest life since age 20. He is 28 now:

2. Four years of combat in Iraq
3. He has had an RPG miss his head by 6 inches.
4. Shot point blank range in the neck area by an AK47, body armor saved his life.
5. Fought in Sadr City
6. Fought the Battle of Fallujah
7. Fought in Mosule
8. Fought in Tal Afar
9. Fought along the Syrian border
10. Fought along the Irian border
11. Fought in Bagdad

He has been in combat almost as long as World War II was.
