Football season is right around the corner and I was wondering what teams my fellow Monarchs are keeping their eyes on this season. Apart from ODU, the rest of the CAA, and CUSA (got to know what we're in for), who are you most excited to watch?

For me, I'm looking forward to seeing the Vols and Washington State. The Vols are a family thing (if Bray, Hunter and Rogers can stay healthy, they'll save Dooley's job) and I'm a big fan of Mike Leach (it'll be interesting to see if he can right the ship in Pullman).

I tend to watch Notre Dame more on the weekends. Also a few Michigan games. I believe I'll start watching some of the CUSA games this year should the tv guide lead me in that direction.

I historically never watched any in particular. Whatever was on. Now I'll be watching as many CUSA teams as possible.

I'll watch Virginia Tech until they lose, in which case there is no point in watching anymore. Frankly, college football sucks in that your season is pretty much over if you lose a game. I hope the playoff system expands to at least 16 teams.

As I have for lo these many years my heart will be with the Buckeyes of The Ohio State University. The Monarchs are my adopted team and my heart is big enough to provide them with plenty of support too.

I will certainly be paying more attention to cusa sports this season however unlike some I root for one and one only. That will forever be the case. Go blue.

Virginia Tech and Boise State.

ODU and Tulane. Both have a hill to climb.

And I feel obligated to wish Charlotte well so that the ODU vs. Charlotte "Start-up Showdown" will be somewhat exciting.

No matter how many teams are in it, VT has historically proven to be the first out somehow. It could expand to 50 teams, and the Chokies would be 51.

Besides ODU and anything that is linked to them (CUSA/CAA), I root for the University of Washington (Dad's Alma mater) and follow the PAC-12.

ODU and NC State. I've been an NC State fan my entire life. Dad is an alumnus.

ODU, all C-USA teams, and my dad's alma mater, Tennessee. I pretty much grew up in Neyland Stadium.

ODU 1st of course. Have liked ECU for years and on my dark side (BCS) Bama.

Ecu was the only college football games i had been to until ODU so they when they aren't playing us I will be paying most attention to them.

Vanderbilt because my mom did her grad work there and I went to the University School of Nashville as a kid, Richmond because my dad went to law school there, and UVA because one of my three daughters is going there.
Marshall because I have a friend who was a cheeleader at the time of the plane crash. Her dad was the team doctor, and both he and her mother were lost.

My father grew up around Houma, LA, so he is big on LSU too.

I don't really have any ties to the school, but if i didn't go to odu and had the money and grades to go it'd be University of Florida. So that's who i'll be watching aside from odu and some cusa teams.

Had 2 cousins a year or two older than me who went to UVA. I would go up some weekends my junior and senior years in high school, go to the games and frat parties. This was way back when there were no women (except some nurses I believe) and all the guys wore sport coats and ties to school. Girls would pour in from surrounding schools and we'd all wind up with "dates" Pretty heady stuff for a 16-17 year old, so I guess I've always had a warm spot for UVA football. Of couurse if we start playing them I could learn to hate them :)
