Our last 3 commitments:

6-0/170 CB from North Miami HS, Troy McCollum, has announced he has committed to our Panthers of FIU. The Rivals, 247 Sports, and ESPN (grade 77) 3-star player had 17 offers, and after paring it down initlally to USF, FIU, Ole Miss, UCF, and Illinois, then he had USF and FIU as his Final 2 before choosing FIU.

Belen Jesuit HS DB, Xavier Hines has committed to FIU, according to several reports. Last season as a junior, Hines, who is 6-0/175, had either 6 or 8 interceptions, depending on recruiting website. Either way, pretty impressive. A Rivals and 247Sports 3-star player, with offers from Temple, Tulane, Western Michigan, Western Illinois, and Buffalo along with interest from Boston College, WVU and Wisconsin.

According to 247Sports.com Chris Nee, Simeon Thomas, a 6-4/190 defensive back (safety and cornerback) from Miami Carol City HS, has committed to FIU. The Rivals, 247Sports, and Scout.com 3-stars player chose FIU over reported offers from FSU (as per scout), LSU , Ole Miss, Clemson ( as per ESPN, )UCF, USF, Akron, Buffalo, Marshall, and South Alabama. He also had interest from Miami, Virginia Tech, and FAU.

Just got a new commit for UTSA. Michael Egwuagu, LB, 6'1", 195 lb. Pfluggerville Connally H.S., TX. Defensive MVP as a junior in his district. 4.6 40. One thing for sure, we are getting some pretty speedy guys.

By the way, if Tulane plays their football like they spell, they may be in for a rude awakening. LOL
