Summer TV
Anybody got anything besides the Reds (or other sport of choice) on their must-see list (either new or returning)? Cable seems to be where most of the action is.

I loved the first season of Wilfred, but the first episode of this season (actually the "special preview episode" - whatever that means) may now make it more psychologically confusing than the finale of Awake and all of Lost. I'm definitely sticking with it though.

Continuing with FX, I'll watch Louie again and probably give Anger Management a shot. Maybe Brand X too, but my expectations for it are very low. I think Russell Brand's 15 minutes are about up - at least in the U.S.

I was planning on giving Newsroom a try even though I knew it would be dripping with liberal drivel. But now that even people who get their news from liberal comedy shows seem to think it's over the top, I might not bother.

I'll probably get sucked into Big Brother for awhile at least, although I did manage to avoid Glass House. I'm also not proud to admit I usually watch Hell's Kitchen and sometimes stick around for Master Chef.

I haven't seen Breaking Bad since season 1 (not by design, just happened) so I'm not sure whether I should jump back in or not.

Anybody watch any series on USA? Some don't sound (or in some cases look) too bad but I've never given any of them a shot.

What else? What say you?

RE: Summer TV
I'll give Big Brother a go. Some seasons I check out really early, some I'll stick with until the end. It just depends on the cast and the "twist".

In terms of USA summer shows currently airing, I watch Royal Pains and Burn Notice. However, I haven't started either series this season due to Reds games, so I'll catch up in the next week or so. Oh, and White Collar comes back in early July.

My favorite USA show is Psych, but that doesn't come back until the fall. :)

I enjoy Gordon Ramsay's shows. Master Chef I've never really gotten into, but Hell's Kitchen is good and I think I like Kitchen Nightmares more. Just something funny about watching a guy go off on people. If you like those shows, check out Restaurant Impossible on Food Network. It's a Kitchen Nightmares knockoff, but not too bad.

I'm trying out common law on USA. It's not deep or anything but it's watchable. I watch Rizzoli and Isle's. That Angie Harmon does it for me. I could watch her watch TV. And it's pretty good.

I have to admit i watch big brother. I watch Weeds even though it's best days are behind it. Leverage is one of my favorite shows, looking forward to it returning next month. Rookie Blue, from the motherland is pretty good.

Good list, though I never got into Dexter. If Treme is already on the list I assume you already are veteran of The Wire.

Game of Thrones is probably the show I look forward to the most every week, though I still think Mad Men is the best show on televsion right now. Justified is excellent. Boardwalk had a strong 2nd season. Eastbound and Down is hilarious and so unique. Curb had another really good season as well.

Someone mentioned The Newsroom. I was pretty excited for it having been a huge fan of Sports Night and the early seasons of The West Wing (the first to in particular), but what I have ready about The Newsroom so far from people I trust has not been a rousing endorsement.

I watched Fairly Legal a couple of times simply to see Sara Shahi. She's hot. But the show doesn't do much for me.

Suits is an entertaining show. My guilty pleasure would have to be Cake Boss. I'm lucky if I could do half the detailing with a pencil and paper that they can do with icing.

I can't wait for Breaking Bad to start. Season 4 was as good as it gets. Some of the most memorable scenes of any show I've ever watched.

I'll definitely check out The Newsroom tonight. HBO has a great track record for entertaining shows. I could care less what the critics have said about it thus far. It doesn't have to be groundbreaking or deserve award nominations to keep you entertained for 52 minutes.

Bryan Cranston is showing up in tons of movies anymore.

I watched HBO's the Newsroom last night on my dvr. It was okay. I'm a big Sam Waterston fan from his days on Law & Order (which I still tape off of various channels - hoping to some day see every episode of the 20 year show). Jeff Daniels was really good. The writing was really believable, but the pace was slow at times. Picks up near the end.

Not for nothing, I was also a big fan of Sports Night, but it's definitely getting to the point where if you've seen one Sorkin show, you've seen them all (to say nothing of the fact I detest his straw-man politics).

Watch it. Don't watch it. It's entirely up to you. Although if you haven't seen this video, you haven't seen Shakespeare the way it was meant to be done.

I got something. I really enjoy science stuff and Through The Wormhole is one of my favorite shows to watch. It covers a lot of subjects pertaining to space, physics and quantum mechanics. It's narrated by Morgan Freeman so that by itself makes it worth it. It has some mind blowing stuff.

At the very least you can sound intelligent talking to friends about what the hell the Cern LHC particle collider is for and what the big deal is about the Higgs Boson particle.
