Joe Manchin.

Just might be willing to jump. Should help with independents, OH, and PA.

If you're going that route Webb from VA is a better choice.

Unless Romney picks Paul Ryan, it'll be someone who has been elected to statewide office as a Republican.

I agree. I still think it will be Rubio.

This leaves it down to OH, IA, and WI ... and all are toss up. Romney needs Ohio and one more to win. Obama just needs Ohio.

Romney really got lucky with redistricting. The extra electoral votes in the deep south and Texas are all that is making this winnable for him. If you fill in the map as I described with the previous apportionment ... I don't see how Romney could win.

I don't think Colorado stays Democrat this time, honestly... Just too many grumblings from what I gather.

But of the three tossups you list... Iowa I think is a full scale Red take this year. ACA just turned TOO many midwesterners away from anything else Obama did.

Wisconsin is the interesting one to me.. I know everyone says it's going to stay blue.. but I just get a feeling that one could be a Republican state this year. And I say this because both the governor AND Lt. Governor beat the recall efforts by bigger than expected margins.

If it had split, then I would say that was staying blue. I'm not so sure this year.

(and that's not to say about Pennsylvania... I'm GUESSING it goes blue again, but it's going to be close... so anything is possible).
