For you Louisville fans......
In Louisville Monday thru Friday for a convention. Ate at The Hard Rock Cafe tonight. Staying at The Galt. Looking forward to our game in Hattiesburg later in this year. Who's coming down?

RE: For you Louisville fans......
Hope you enjoy your stay in The Ville. May I suggest Cunninghams for Lunch on down 4th avenue if you walk through 4th Street Live.

At The Galt House you are also within walking distance of museum row on West Main with The Ali Center, Louisville Slugger Museum, Louisville Science Center and Frazier Arms. I highly recommend Frazier if you are into history. For a cheap cab ride you could get up to Baxter / Bardstown Road area. Lots of bars and restaurants.

Something to remember while you are walking in the Downtown area of Louisville. Numbered Streets run North / South ...
Named Streets like Main, Market, Jefferson etc run East / West.

Enjoy your stay. I hope to make the trip to Hattiesburg this fall.

Hope you enjoy your stay here...if you are into Comedy George Lopez is performing 19 June 2012 @ The Improv @ 4th Street live. Here is a link:

http://improvlouisville.com/index.cfm

4th Street Live/The Improv is also within walking distance and is in the same Downtown Center that also houses the The Hard Rock Cafe.

I wish the metro population of Hattisburg were larger. USM needs to be in a bigger conference. More to the point, they need to still be in a conference with Memphis and Louisville. USM is actually perfectly set up for the SEC...the two Mississippi schools and LSU will ensure that will never happen though.

Actually, the product on the field of play needs to have more to do with it, but unfortunately for us money speaks, and the product doesn't most if the time. Thanks for the comment though.

I suggest you walk over to Eddie Merlot's, or go downstairs to Jeff Ruby's for a mean steak. Or walk down to Impellizzeris for an awesome slice of Chicago style pie.

Guys, loved my visit to Louisville. Stopped by Churchill Downs, KFC Arena, Papa Johns Stadium as I took a ride thru the Cardinal campus, Galt is outstanding. The little mom and pop restaurant just east of the Louisville Slugger Museum serves a mean breakfast. I'll come back again, hopefully if USM plays the Cards in anything again.

Glad you enjoyed your visit. Great people up here and we like our small city. It was good you did those things you mentioned around those parts of the city. But if you do come up again, be sure to check out the Bardstown Road\Highlands area; it's kind of the heart of the town in my consideration.

I really hope Louisville stays in the conference, haven't been to the Ville in awhile and really miss going up there. We used to come to the conference tourney when it was up there and we also played Georgetown there one year when Keith Lee was here. We loved staying at the Executive Inn's near Freedom Hall, those were the good ole days, many great games. Last time I came was in 2004 or 2005 when DeAngelo played and you guys were headed out to the Big East. We won the game but every fan I walked past told me to enjoy CUSA you were off to the Big Time!! Some Tiger fans won't admit it but we have really missed having a true rival, mostly in hoops but have had soem fun football games as well. Stick around a few years anyway.

I did not, both my sons had games and I coached one of their teams. Should be a fun atmosphere in the Forum this year, hopefully you guys will be in the top 5 if not 1, maybe we can both survive the Bahamas to create a top ranked matchup. I know one thing this town will be rocking when Pitino and the boys arrive, my last memory of ther Cards here was Francisco Garcia doing throat slashes on the scorer's table when Darius missed the last one, what a nightmare!!

God I hated Garcia and Dean, oh and that annoying routine the pa announcer did whenever Reece Gaines hit threes.

It really sucks that when Cal had us rolling we didn't get to play Cincy or the Ville, we on the other hand got to bear the brunt of some of your better teams, I mean really 4 losses in the same year, and each time it got worse!! I guess we did get a couple of games with Cincy under Cal but your teams were way down and it was always fun to beat Huggins, Cronin didn't bring out the fire. Looking forward to cranking it all back up again.
