Can't confirm it, but I heard he was getting financial backing from Larry Ellison, who has been very vocal about moving a team he could purchase.

Ellison has the money, he just doesn't want to pay the estimated $600M to buy and move the team. The city of Memphis has a pretty sweet contract with the Grizz that makes it ridiculously expensive, even for a billionaire, to move the team.

of course ... he openly backs out due to the cost of relocating... then he backs another party with shaky finances so he can be sneaky, sneaky in relocating the team...

I heard it from a co-worker in San Jose, he said he heard it at a city luncheon. He also said it involved a new facility being built in San Jose.

I'm not saying it will happen, just telling you what I heard.
