Why does Louisville collapse midway through conferance season. I mean 1 week you guys look unbeatable, but then the next week you are terrible.

What are you talking about? Last year we had a new coach and a QB starting for his first time. One player in defensive backfield who actually had real experience back there everyone else was a WR convert or a backup the year before. I admit UofL had bad performances against Memphis and Mia.(OH) but for a team I thought would be lucky to win 7 and on par for 6 wins, I think Petrino did a heck of a job! We went 9-4, the other 2 losses where in overtime....yes overtime to South Fla. (INT by Lefors) and TCU missed field goal. I think we lost by a total of 4 points to TCU and South Fla. combined and we know all the hype TCU got last year! Now if you are talking about 2002....O.K. I will shut up now, Ragone was running for his life all season behind a poor offensive line (which will be a strength this year).

I know if I was posing the question, I would be talking basketball. You guys started out on fire last season and hit a brick wall. I know injuries didn't help, but even when Garcia and Dean returned full strength, they still didn't seem to have it all together.

My bad, Its football time for me I wasn't even thinking about BBall. My mistake Jarr. I am probably the only UofL fan who is a bigger football fan than a BBall fan.

well #1 you had Garcia's brother was killed. #2 Rick had a unknown illness. #3 Ellis Myles farther passing away. Then injuries boy talk about blowing team chemisty!
I dont think the team ever recovered from all the sudden rash of events.
I think we'll be stronger this year with Myles back in the middle as a leader, and post player instead of relying on the 3 so much. IMO

Same here jarr, even though UC/UofL can be a heated rivalry at times we need for all the new Big East members to do well. Man wouldn't be awesome if UC got OSU and UL took down the Hurricanes. I would love to hear the smack talkers then!

That would be cool, but remember UC will beat OSU, and Miami will beat Loserville.

Thats O.K. bearcat, this good ole boy from "Loserville" still wishes the Kitties up north well, accept on Nov. 27th of course and then I am sure someone will have bragging (and name calling) rights. Good luck till then!
