Good to see that everyone is setting out to be ready for the dawning of the brand new day. Expansion and upgrades abound. We need this to keep up with the jones and distance ourselves from those behind us.

Cool!

While Navy has played games vs nearby teams like Rutgers and Temple in the past, those same games will have a lot more meaning when they become CONFERENCE games...so having more seats to sell (to both Navy and visiting teams) is a major plus.

Navy Football Fact:

Navy has NEVER been a member of a football conf in the past...dating back 130 plus years so I think even the locals will get excited about having conference and divisional races in the future once Navy joins...something they never had in the past.

I am really looking forward to following the Memphis Tigers to each Big East campus in the near future. From what I hear, the Navy trips will be especially fun and enjoyable.

Great stuff. I hope to make it to Annapolis for a game sometime in the future. On another note, it would be totally awesome if me and my brother(Army Vet) would go to an Army-Navy game sometime in the future.

RE: Navy to expand football stadium
My road trip advice for any Big East fan:

1) On your first trip, see your team in your rival's stadium (Cincinnati fans need to go to Louisville, etc.).

2) The second most important trip you will make is to see your team at Navy. I've never been to Annapolis, but I've been to West Point twice. It's an amazing place, and the Hudson Valley is beautiful in the fall. I'm sure Annapolis is equally impressive.

Went to Navy in 2008 when Rutgers played them. Great atmosphere, great scenic town to walk around in after the game.

Nice... It's tough with Annapolis for me, because I'm a USAF guy, but All progress is a great thing, and only advances the interests of us & our conference, going forward.

Well, Done, Naval Academy.

I was in Navy's stadium after the last up grade. Its a great venue. Add that to a sight seeing trip through the Academy and downtown Annapolis around the capitol building and you can make a experience down there in the fall for a football game. Glad to hear about the new expansion for entry into the BE.
04-cheers

I cant wait to have a reason to go to Annapolis and see the stadium. I'm glad us newbies are really taking this seriously and trying to make it a better conference.

Ex-Navy guy here. I love the environment in Annapolis. It will be better for this expansion. Good things are happening for the new BE. 2014 can't get here fast enough.

RE: Navy to expand football stadium
This expansion is a continuation of the renovation plans that started in 2003. As for fan experience, while our stadium is not as nice as West Point (we technically play off campus) I think many fans will enjoy watching the mids march to the game as well experiecing Annapolis in the fall.

BTW, the names on the inside of the stadium are Naval or USMC battles.

Rutgers @ Navy is a game I always make. Love taking the ride down to Annapolis for the day. Great stadium and grounds. And a great town. Like my experiences at UNC, they make visiting fans feel welcome.
