It looks like we're not going to have to wait until 2013 to see the Knights vs the Bulls again. The newly renovated Sun Dome should be packed for the opening game on November 10th. Can't wait to get this started!

Also, both teams won't have to wait till 2013-2014 to play home-home hoop games as in addition to the Nov 10th game in Tampa, both teams will play at UCF on Jan 2, 2013 in a home-home series for this coming season.

Give them Hell UCF!

I get the sense that a lot of USF fans are less than thrilled with this...they wanted a big name opponent. And yet! USF kids might actually care about packing the house versus the Knights. And UCF fans can make up the difference, if there is any.

Can I just say in general I love the USF-UCF dynamic? You guys are sibling schools, but you're, like, young siblings. As you grow up together (to drag a metaphor out) you'll appreciate each other more. Maybe even care about beating each other more than UF or FSU (who are the elder siblings here, who already moved out of the house and you guys idolize.)

I agree, I really look forward to this rivalry. I was down for UCF to be added for a while now. They should have been added when TCU was added along with Houston and one more most likely Memphis.

UCF fans, in general, have understood the "dynamic" of this for years, even before USF went to the Big East. USF felt they wanted to develop "bigger" rivalries. I always tried to say that, it IS possible to have more than one "rival." I did understand their position, though, even if I didn't totally agree with it.

I'm just glad the game in Tampa will finally be played on a Saturday, and not a weeknight like in the past. Made it impractical to attend living on the other side of the peninsula. With USF football on a bye week that night, and UCF playing at UTEP, there's no reason why both fanbases shouldn't turn out in force for this game.

Hopefully the game is at night so I can take the family to ride Shiekra and Cheetah Hunt during the daytime before heading down the street to watch the game.

Guess I haven't been to the Sun Dome that often. I think every time I've been to the dome, all the seats were pushed back because some of them could be adjusted to make room for other events.
