BCS Commissioners Head To Chicago

Big East: A perceived weak link in the BCS equation, the Big East is ready to make its voice heard at these meetings, but how do they get that done? Bailey is likely to push for a conference champion-only system, but likely vehemently against a selection committee, which would — in the minds of the Big East member schools — stand to pass them over every time.

ACC getting a free pass is just comical.

BYU wasn't invited?
Maybe they need a conference to represent them.

The Big East either has the most (or the least depending on what you believe the intentions of Louisville and Notre Dame are) representation in this group. I think the having Jurich and Ramsey(who is a very "pro sports" president) represent the Big East is a very positive thing for the conference.
Another good thing to consider is that if the Big East is now non major the representation sets up as...
Major 15
Non Major 18
Notre Dame 2
But if the Big East get treated like a "Major"
Major 20 (Assume Notre Dame would now have no conflict of interest between Big East and "Major")
Non Major 15

Good point. Navy would have been in the same boat had they not agreed to joining the Big East even if it isn't until 2015. Maybe this will change BYU's mind but if they do, the Big 12 may also go after them.
